Stayed here overnight after arriving on the day flight from Hong Kong and transitting off to darwin early the next day. Hotel shuttle bus came quickly (we walked over to the terminal tghe next day and it was only a ten minute walk). Check inn was straight forward. the room was beautiful with a great view of the planes. Very... more

This was my first visit at this hotel and while its not as close as the Hilton from the Domestic airport, its only a 5 minute walk from it. However, those with luggage will probably be better off getting the shuttle to the hotel. Check in was quick and efficient although the room key given to me initially would not... more

The airport holiday inn aims high, but I found it to be lacking in a few areas. For the price, I expected more. Access to the hotel has become difficult due to the recent construction work. Once it was possible to walk out of the airport, straight through the carpark, cross a (busy) road and you were there. Now the... more

I arrived late, after 2200, and politely asked the girl at reception 'may I have a queen sized bed.' She referred unsmilingly to my wotif.com booking at the 'special mystery rate' of A$140 and said 'you've booked a twin...hotel is full.' The bed was acceptable and I slept well, but although the hotel was refurbished fairly recently, it continues to... more

I booked this hotel on wotif.com for $140. Walked to the hotel via pathway then took the shuttle back for $2 each the next morning. Very quiet. Staff very welcoming and friendly from front desk to restaurant to cleaning staff, everyone was warm and friendly withour fail. Breakfast buffet was excellent for this price range. There was a fresh juicing... more

Rooms were tiny, bathroom dirty and needed a bottle of bleach. Resturant was awful, reception area was having construction work done. Only stayed the one night as we had an early flight the next morning, went to resturant for Tea on a sunday night. And it needed a good clean. There were paper sheets on top of the tables which... more

Stayed here for one night Jun 08 when our flight from Avalon to Sydney was cancelled at last moment. Nice, clean hotel - we had 3 rooms and all had 2 double beds, writing desk, armchair, bathroom and mini-kitchen. Under circumstances (i.e 300 angry tired airline passengers) staff were extremely efficient and pleasant. Did not get time to sample buffet... more

I have stayed here several times as its very handy for early flights. This is the first time I have been given an end room and I found it very small compared to the normal rooms in the hotel. Overall clean and well maintained. more

We booked the HI Melbourne Airport for just one night. We were flying into Melbourne late in the night, and seeing as the airport is a considerable distance from the city, the airport hotel seemed a good option. We got a rate of $207, which although quite pricey for an airport, was still much cheaper than city hotels of the... more

Had a one night stopover in Melbourne, booked through Priority Club and ended up getting it for free with points I didn't know had! Arrived at midnight with a very tired and cranky daughter after our flights were delayed more than 6 hours, so were hoping for a trouble free check-in. It was exactly that! We walked through the door,... more
