2 night stay in 1 bedroom deluxe on 6th floor which was clean & modern with kitchenette and laundry facilities. Very comfortable bed and pillows! A little street noise filtered through at night but not enough to impede sleep. Front reception not overly-friendly but courteous and efficient. Great central location and value for money. more

We stayed for a night and arrived at reception at about 830pm. Lady at front desk was robotic, no welcome greeting, smile, or offer of assistance. Just pay for your rooms, leave a security bond, take your keys and off you go. Asked for assistance to nearest supermarket but never got there as directions given were not clear. Could have... more

Before i left to Melbourne, Victoria i have been reading so much review from Trip Advisor about the hotel. I came with least expectation cos this is my first time in Australia. But the ambience and the experience i had exceeded my expectation especially with the apartment that i have stayed, Somerset on Elizabeth!. From the limo service to the... more

This one of the best locations in the CBD to stay. It's right around the corner from Myers and opposite the big Melbourne Central shopping centre. Close to Chinatown and a short tram ride up the road to Victoria Markets. The staff seemed really friendly (despite the previous reviews) and were very courteous and helpful. Robyn in particular seemed to... more

I stayed for a couple of nights whilst on business. I had a large studio which was very well equipped and very clean. The bed was especially comfortable. In room washing machine and ironing facilities were so helpful to refresh the laundry in the middle of a long business trip. Very central for downtown Melbourne's business district. more

Perfect location for those who want or need to be in the city. The hotel is serviced by the Skybus which made our arrival and departure really easy. On check-in my partner and I were really underwhelmed with the welcome. We were basically ignored by one lady, and then checked in by another guy. No "hello" or "welcome" what so... more

It was fantastic for the location. Extremely central. Stayed in a one bedroom and it was really spacious for me. I was surprised by the space and thought that it was good value for money as have paid a lot more for smaller service apartment in Melbourne. Interestingly, i had a polite notice from the management telling me to keep... more

My girlfriend and I just returned from our 6 night stay at Somerset on Elizabeth. We were in Melbourne for a getaway before returning to uni, and found that the hotel offers many pro's and con's in equal measure. PRO'S: Location - on the corner of Elizabeth and Lonsdale. Cannot get any more central. For us it was perfect, as... more

This apartment-style hotel was adequate, although nothing particularly stuck in my mind as being outstanding. It is a good location, being a short walk to Melbourne Central (underground) railway station in one direction, north, and the centre of the CBD (the former GPO and the Bourke Street Mall with Myer and David Jones) in a southerly direction. more

My wife and I stayed at Somerset On Elizabeth with another couple for 4 nights. We all stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious with 2 good size bedrooms (1 with ensuite) and a seperate bathroom. Although we did not use the kitchen area, it had all the essentials. The rooms were very clean and well... more
