Let me say firstly its not the best hotel I have stayed in Melbourne but its not the worst either. Technically being a local (live in outer suburbs) I have occasionally stayed in the city overnight for various functions. Room was OK. Clean and not a shoebox. Stayed on the 8th floor - Management really need to review the mattresses.... More

For what I required, this Hotel ticked the boxes. Everything was OK but nothing stood out as being special.... As a place to crash for one night it was fine. It is central to the city and public transport, quite, clean and reasonably priced. The room was well appointed although a little small. My view was a brick wall.. If... More

This was our first hotel stop on our 6 week tour of Australia with friends. Our room was a nice size and overlooked Flinders Street Station. Good location for trams, trains, shops, Federation Square, Botanical Gardens and places to eat. Room was comfortable and clean. Useful line in the bathroom for small handwashed items. Very helpful staff allowing me to... More

We'd read reviews about this hotel after booking it and although I am quite happy to make my own decisions about a hotel, some of the reviews we'd seen before were fairly accurate. Travelling as a family, we requested and paid for a twin room but to my surprise, a twin room meant three single beds....I'm 6 foot and 115kg... More

Older decore, but very clean and well presented. The most outstanding feature of this hotel, apart from its handy position in the heart of Melbourne, is the quality of its staff. These are some of the friendliest, and most helpful people we have encountered. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights over th weekend in October 2012. Opposite flinders street station. Around the corner - about a minute walk is a team stop. We have now stayed at 3 Melbourne hotels and we would stay at this hotel again.

A work commitment required a stay in the city and this location was central and well priced at the special offerred . I would not have stayed for the 4 days at the usual price so look around and bargain if you can .

We stayed there for 4 nights for about $75 per night and for the price it was great. Our expectations were far exceeded. If we find a deal like that again we will go back otherwise we will need to consider other options. Excellent location and free Internet in the lobby is a bonus!!!! The gym was large and well... The rooms are quite small for the amount they charge you. It's pretty much in the middle of the city which can be annoying when you walk out of the hotel into a mad rush of foot traffic. The walls between the rooms are paper thin, so cross your fingers you don't have noisy neighbours. If you're not happy with... More
