Stayed on a business trip - accommodation chosen due to company having a corporate account here. Staff were pleasant and efficient at check-in. Lifts are slow and creaky, but alright. Room was on 3rd floor looking over a cover at rear of kitchen, then directly at a brick wall - but only needed a bed and a bathroom really and... More

We have stayed in this hotel twice. It is very conveniently-located and both times we found it easy to walk to where we wanted to be, or catch other transport there from right outside the door. If you're not sure what to do, it's a great location to just walk around and figure it out, and right near the lovely... More

Spent three nights over the New Year period. Great location close to shops, Federation Square and all the tram stops, getting around was fantastic. Room was clean and very comfortable, we didn't have a view from our window except of the building next door, but we didn't care as we were out enjoying ourselves and didn't spend anytime looking out... Second stay at Citigate in twelve months and once again enjoyed a great experience. The location is fantastic and the service we experienced was very good. Had a twin room that had ample space, quiet, comfortable beds and had very clean room and bathroom facilities. The staff at reception and at breakfast were all friendly, efficient and very helpful. Stayed here around the Christmas Period. Citigate Melbourne is no doubt located at an excellent location, one that is very convenient especially when travelling in town (Tram Station, Flinders Station, Fed Square, Bourke Street Mall, Chinatown, Southgate, Eureka Tower, Crown Complex all located within comfortable walking distance). Room was kept clean and had an average size, one not too spacious... More

I've stayed at Citigate twice this year, first in May and then Sep/Oct. Both times I stayed in the King City view room which was great. Good location for exploring the city and also exploring southbank, great for catching the train, buses and trams. It's right near Degraves St which is an alley way full of cafe's!!! We found this inner city hotel to be an ideal location within a short walk to excellent restaurants, shopping, sites and transport. The staff were exceptional being very welcoming and helpful with our every need. Without paying exorbitant prices, this hotel was excellent value for money.

The Citigate provided a perfect launching spot for our girls weekend away. The location was just right with a 1 minute walk to both tram and train and your only footsteps away from places to eat and drink. We were in a twin room with two single beds. The room was very small but it had everything we needed and... More

We stayed in a standard citigate king room and got it on sale at $109 p.n. this room was a generous size for two people, it was clean, modern and the bed was comfy. Nothing to complain about. We were impressed given we knew we booked a basic room. The service from the staff was exceptional, nothing was too much... More
