We had a lovely stay here at the Citigate on Flinders St. Perfect location for exploring the city, and fantastic, helpful staff. The rooms are nicely decorated with fine amenities. We were disappointed that the bed was quite thin and not particularly comfortable. A few more stations on the television would've been nice too... The hall/room had a faint odor... more

Such a great place to stay to see Melbourne, ask for the up grade to river views.....outstanding! The hotel staff were also just superb....couldn't ask for more. The hotel is in a very good location, many shops nearby. BUT i really feel uncomfortable within a room which has NO window. There is a fake window though with a light on the top which can NOT be turned off, so it's really annoying at night and i could not sleep well. I acutally have learned this issue before... more

Stayed at the Citigate for four nights, our room wasn't huge but adequate for a city break. The location was excellent, tram stop outside and central to all shops/River. Just like any central location in a city it had a different feel at night although didn't feel unsafe. The breakfast was good and had a variety on offer. Only negatives... more

Recently stayed here with a large tour group that included youngsters and was very impressed. The reception staff were superb and the facilities great. Breakfast was first class as was the 'bar scene' in the evening. I will definitely return here when in Melbourne again. more

Decided to stay at Citigate as we had a Work Christmas function to attend along the Yarra River.
