We are pleased with our stay - friendly staff - nice and clean room. We only need to take a very short walk to the station to catch a coach to the airport - though it is a good walking exercise from downtown back to hotel, but still pleasant. Will return to stay.

Just want to say that we stayed at the Ibis Little Bourke the night before we went overseas. This was a terrific option for us. As we live over 90 minutes from Tullamarine, we decided to catch a train into the city. It's a short walk to the hotel. A quick and cheerful check-in left us time to spend the... More

We chose the hotel because of its great location and because it is a reasonably trusted brand. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was fine. This is not a new hotel. My feeling was that it had been a cheaper older hotel made over with a few of the standard Ibis fittings. So there was the old... More

The hotel is on the quiter side of the CBD very close to Southern Cross Station and the tram services. Wonderful staff and facility suited to persons wanting to see Melbourne and escape to a quiet night. Highly recommended.

Is the Ibis the best hotel in Melbourne? By no means. However, if you are traveling to Melbourne and don't wish to pay sky high rates for so called luxury hotels and instead wish to pay what I would consider "average" prices for a decent room - stay here. I would compare the Ibis to a really nice Days Inn.... More

This is not a hotel to be in. First, once you are in the room, you are just sealed in. No windows, no terrace. If you want to breath fresh air, or have a smoke, you have to go out to the road. Rooms are veryu small. Staff is not very helpful too! Only the location is good.

Management response:

Dear Bangara. Thank you for your thoughts and feedback on your recent stay at the hotel. The hotel is a fully non smoking hotel, this is designed for the comfort and well being of all guests. Non smoking does not always appeal to everyone, in Australia there is a shift to ensure that most buildings, shopping centres and work environments... More

We stayed in a queen sized room for 2 nights while passing through Melbourne. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and very adequate for our needs. The nights were Sunday and Monday so not much street noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the nightly rate was excellent. The location so close... More

Stayed here on business for 1 night before checking into an apartment rental for about 8 nights while on business in Melbourne. The good part was the location is in CBD walkable / short cab to anything and next to Victoria Market. Rooms are efficient and clean but not particularly memorable. The one thing that surprised me in a negative... More

Stayed recently and while the room was clean, it was very small and therefore the value wasn't really there. We were woken both Friday and Saturday night by loud arguing/fighting in the street outside the adjacent nightclub - we had street frontage on the 8th floor - so other aspects may be better

Management response:

Dear Daniel B Many thanks for taking the time to share your recent experience at the hotel. The hotel is located adjacent to the nightclub district of Melbourne’s CBD, at times there can be spill over from the neighbouring clubs.
