This Hotel is located right in the city centre which is great for getting to all the nightlife that Melbourne has to offer. The rooms are small and basic but its very difficult to get any sleep as the windows have useless blinds instead of curtains which means you wake up at sunrise, this isnt an issue as they are... more

This looked like a good choice when browsing the net for acommodation before travelling to Australia. The hotel was decent enough and the service civil, bordering on friendly, but what was not mentioned to us was the fact that the hotel does not cater for vehicles!! When we arrived we were told that a parking garage three blocks away had... more

more than adequate basic hotel, centrally located, reasonably priced, half a block from the train station and the airport bus. No view and on a dingy side street. Staff pleasant and helpful. more

Stayed at the Ibis Little Bourke Street from 14th November to the 16th November 2008. We chose it because of it's close proximity to the Telstra Stadium where Andre Rieu was in concert. The room itself was quite small, but okay for a couple of nights, I wouldn't have liked to stay there any longer. Bathroom was very small also.... more

LOCATION: When your cab drops you off at Little Bourke street, you might wonder - where is my hotel? Slowly lift your head and look for a tiny sign saying Ibis. Below, what seems to be the small lobby of a restaurant called Cafe 600 is actually the hotel's. Although the facade was a bit disappointing and it seems like... more

Travelled to Melb for the AFL Grand Final. This hotel is really handy to the Airport Skybus, just walk across Spencer St and is also located near Telstra Dome. Check in is fast and friendly, staff were very helpful. Room was pretty small, but OK. Bathroom a good size. The TV was a bit frustrating as the sound kept intermittently... more

Not bad, not fantastic. Rooms were clean and up-to-date. I was in Melbourne for work and the workspace/bench was pretty small and in the moments I had away from the computer, I found my TV didn't really work (stations kept dropping out and every channel was accompanied by a muffled whistling sound). It's in a pretty quiet area, but that... more

Stayed here for 2 nights. I thought the room was very nice, large enough for 2 ppl. Nice bathroom, tiny bit small, but it had a combined bath/shower which was nice. A few little problems on checking in, but these were sorted after a few minutes. Requested a twin room but got a queen bed, since I was just there... more

Took the recommendations of fellow T.A. travelers when searching for a reasonably-priced spot over a long weekend in Melbourne. No surprizes...exactly what prior travelers had described. The rooms are small but clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location is a bit on the "seedy" side near the Southern Cross railway station and adjoins numerous low-cost spots for youthful backpackers. A... more
