Despite being a budget hotel, ibis provided with excellent service. We could check in earlier than the designated time. The room was spacious enough for two people, with all basic amenities included. Located very close to the Southern Cross station you could easily walk to the city in 10 mins or just take the train.

Have stayed at a few Ibis Hotels. This one on Little Bourke Street was ideally situated to Southern Cross Station and other parts of Melbourne. Room was bit small, but clean. Felt the room was a bit outdated and could do with a bit of facelift. Suited our needs for a 2 night stay. The staff on reception during check... More

Dear StephG Thanks for your time to share your thoughts about the hotel. Views are very restricted and the ever growing inner city apartments are towering around the hotel. We look to seeing you again soon. thanks Mary Ellen O'Malley General Manager More

I stayed 3 night at the Ibis hotel Melbourne Little bourke St. My wife and I were very impressed with the room and the staff of the hotel . The room was very clean. The location was great walking distance to Victoria market and shooping mall.

With a budget hotel it is said you get what you pay for, but with the Ibis we got so much more. The room was compact, clean, comfortable and light, with all the basic requirements. The neighbourhood was less than salubrious, but the Location was fabulous. We had discount car parking just around the corner, and we were only a... More

Booked my stay here quite last minute. The options were few thanks to the Australian Open. For a very reasonable price this hotel punched well above its weight. My room was clean and lovely, and didn't feel like a shoebox (which I was anticipating). When I got back from dinner on the 1st night, I noticed the room was a... More

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and powerful shower. Hotel is well located in the cbd and near to the Southern Cross station. However, my room was located near to the cleaners's storeroom. As such, my morning sleep were disrupted by the noises made by the the cleaners very morning. Another minor issue is that the lights... Due to the Australian Open tennis tournament being on, I was unable to get a room in The Langham (the hotel I usually stay when in Melbourne on business), so, because of the price (and being an AccorPlus member) I choose to stay at the Ibis on Little Bourke Street, and am glad that I did. From receiving a phone... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
