I always read trip advisor before I book a hotel and the reviews for this were correct. Its good value for money, we only paid 100 a night and its right in Melbourne CBD, I really don't think it could be beat on location. Though be warned, the foyer and entrance are tiny. We stayed in a double room (not... More

Because I was on my own I needed a clean comfortable central city location without costing a fortune, and this motel lived up to all expectatons. I stayed here for 4 nights. I could walk to the Princess theatre and the Arts Centre for two performances. It was only a 15 minute walk to the Exhibition Centre along the river... More

This was an excellent Motel. Very clean and very central. The young man on reception was very helpful especially with directions. This is an excellent value for money motel.

For a budget hotel, it was pretty good. But the only problem is the lift which made weird sounds as if it would break any moment. That was really scary. The corridors are not well lit. the bed quilt stank a little bit. But overall it is great hotel to stay if u dont want to spend lots of money... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and I was very impressed. The single room was much better than I had expected (thought budget might mean small). Everything was immaculately clean, and serviced every day. Good facilities in the room, and a very comfortable bed. And so handy to everything. Friendly staff, I can't speak too highly of the place. Would definitely... More

I stayed in this Motel with 2 friends. We stayed in one of the triple rooms which consists of 1 queen bed (althought it seemed more like a double) 1 single bed and one single fold-out couch. The bathroom looked like it had been recently updated and was very nice. The only complaint I would have it is quite noisy... More

We chose this place because of relatively good reviews on tripadvisor.com. It is true that the location and price are good, but we would rather have paid more and walked further. I defy your heart not to sink when you get out of the lift into the dimly lit corridor and then into your even more dimly lit, grey room... More

We stayed here for a week during mid-August 2007. The location is simply unbeatable. Directly opposite the Westin and right outside tram stops (and 2 minute walk to Flinder St station and Federation Square and minutes to shopping on Bourke and Collins St). We stayed in one of the refurbished deluxe rooms and it was quite nice. The room was... More

My husband and I stayed in Melbourne for three nights in July. We booked the City Square Motel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. Upon arriving at the motel, I was a bit disappointed. While the hotel was in a great location, very easy walking distance to Federation Square, the hotel itself is not much to look at. The lobby/hallway is... More

I just loved the room, they being spacious and clean are best suited for young couples who look forward for budget rooms. An added attraction being the attached ensuite bathroom and the couch provided with the queen size bed. This is a great place to be if you looking for a cheap motel to stay for a couple of days....
