Well-appointed, if minimalist, hotel in heart of city.
Excellent value for money, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful (except in one instance when I was confused about bus pick-up for the airport. Sarcasm really wasn't necessary). That stands out for me, because otherwise people were impressively supportive throughout our stay, even changing rooms and moving our bags for us mid-stay.
If your room is on the alley side of the hotel, it may be a bit dark and gloomy. We asked to be moved to the other side, which faced onto the street. Not everyone might be happy with city life right outside the bedroom, but we found the trams and traffic really made us feel at the heart of this city on our first visit.
We'd stay there again, but we'd specify a street-facing room.
