writing this review because I would feel sorry for anyone who stayed at this hotel. The owners do NOT want to be there and do not understand english so good luck conversing with them. The rooms are old and extremely basic. There was a cockroach on my bed and the sheets were worn through. Bed very hard and I didn't... More

Magnolia Court is walking distance from the MCG and Rod Laver arena, Fitzroy Gardens and Melbourne CBD. Breakfast is OK, the rooms are clean if "oldish", and the value is obvious. Next time we visit for a sporting event we'll stay at Magnolia Court again.

We were looking for an affordable mini break in melbourne and the Magnolia fitted the bill perfectly. Well positioned, this private hotel suited a cheap and easy weekend away without killing your wallet!! Recommended.

Hotel in a nice area, the rooms were smallish but fine for a big city however they were in need of some minor repair works. Loose screws, damaged curtains and the like. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good but it would not take much to make it excellent with the introduction of fresh or local produce. However this would not... More

Don't expect too much. Very small rooms with breakfast made up of "no name brand" produce. But clean enough with free wifi. But it's all about the location. There are about 4 car parks for 22 rooms, so you need to be lucky with off street parking.

We stayed for five nights over New Year 2015/2016. The hotel is situated in a quiet street about 200 metres east of Fitzroy Gardens and about 400 metres north of Jolimont train and tram stations. There are several shops including a 7/11 near the station. South of the station across the railway line is the MCG and the tennis centre... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. I was instantly charmed by the 1800's feel of the hotel. Neighborhood retains the suburban feel. Having said that, one has to walk for 10-15 minutes to get a cab or to get to the city. I did not see any restaurant nearby as well. It was forgivable considering the comfort that the room provides.... More

With a early morning procedure at Epworth Hospital, we were looking for something close and convenient the night before the 7.30am appointment. Our main problem with choosing places is car parking. We have BT 50. Not always easy to get into some of the car parks inMelbourne. So after ringing a few places, we got onto this Hotel, which sounded... More
