Staff excellent, location good, omlette overcooked, broadband ridiculously expensive ($9 for a half hour?) but my overriding impression will be of the lumpy carpet as I walked to my room. Signs of age/wear everywhere but remains clean and comfortable. More

Good location, big rooms, good bathrooms. Breakfast was great although the setting's not wonderful - either a small room where the food is served, or an airy atrium next door with no atmosphere. Recent overnight stay in Melbourne for a friday night school reunion saw us at The Como. While its now been around for a while and it is showing its still a great hotel in a terrific location. Value wise its an excellent proposition. Will definately stay at The Como again. More
