Went for 1 night during an event-weekend so prices were a lot higher than usual. Hotel is very centrally located - best I'd say in Melbourne CBD. Room was very clean, comfortable and especially massive bathroom. Service was professional but maybe lack a touch of personal. Overall can't fault much but for the price we could probably get somewhere else... More

Really nice to visit a place so obliging and classy as the Westin. Perfect city location and convenience. Great friendly staff that follow through on helping you with your requirements. Perfect location near Fed Square and reminds me of home with some of the older style Melbourne buildings in such close proximity. Great rooms great service.

The Westin is a favourite of ours! We have stayed there are few times now. It is right in Downtown Melbourne and you can walk everywhere - shopping, theatre, great restaurants & cafes. If you to spread out a bit further trams are at the front door and trains are very close by! The accommodation is very nice with "heavenly"... More

My husband reguarly attends medical appointments in Melbourne and this is an interstate trip from Sydney for him every time. The insurance company who pays for his treatment booked accomodation for 1 night in another hotel, and as I was joining him this time he was particuarly concious of my anticipated impression of the room. It was a Friday night... More

Centrally located. Good location. Great staff. Good food. Spent three weeks here and was very comfortable. It was me with both my little girls. Can't go wrong with this hotel. Am staying again this month.

Amazing location, very professional staff especially the concierge. Loved my room, very clean, rainfall shower, beautiful Juliet balcony. Highly recommend staying here. Right in the heart of Melbourne City. Next to the Regent Theatre. Cocktails were fantastic at the bar in the lobby. Loved it so much stayed an extra night.

Awesome weekend away at the Westin. Great service from Ian and Nick upon entry to the Westin. Room was spacious especially the bathroom with a full bath and choice of two different shower heads. Bed and pillows so comfy...and great natural light in the room. Enjoyed drinks on the balcony before heading out for the night, great view of all... More

Have stayed here many times with this time using the SPG points with an upgrade. The room was great as usual so no complaints there.Staff and reception was ordinary at best.Do we presume that because one is using their built up points that service/attitude does not matter?Simple things like wanting to go to another table at breakfast because the air con... Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
