After requesting an early check in due to an early flight (which we know isn't guaranteed) we ended up having to wait nearly 4 hours after our check in time as our room wasn't ready. I understand delays happen but would have preferred an honest "we are running late" to the numerous "just 15 minutes" responses I got. I could... More

I've stayed at rydges many times over the past 12 months. The staff are always courteous and helpful. The suite rooms are nicely renovated and have great bathrooms with large baths. The normal hotel rooms are a bit hit and miss and some are due for a makeover. The restaurant is always reliable in serving great quality food for dinner... More

Just an overnight stay because we were seeing a show in town. Booked using Hotels Combined which, as I thought, would end up with not exactly what I booked due to the reduced room rate. An executive room with city views was booked with actual view being the other way, Parliament House and roof tops. Not to worry, as a... More

Stayed overnight Friday 4th July in a twin with other members of our party in a king room with pullout sofa bed. It is a return stay for me but not as impressed as first visit. On making reservations I asked for rooms to be as close as possible on same floor, and was told should be ok ... On... More

Staff not particularly friendly, bathroom small and mouldy. Beds sunk in the middle. Good location though near theatres. Front desk staff didn't know cheap ways to get to places and didn't seem to care.

This hotel is dressed in a tired 'has-been' decor that looks like it might have been 90s chic once. The decor is no better in the rooms, although clean if not 'fresh or modern'. While the room was large, the bathroom was miniscule. The sub par, scratched and undersized bathtub is complemented by a toilet crammed into such a small... More

Booked a City High package to stay at this hotel on Saturday night as we were attending show at Comedy Theatre on Sunday afternoon. Joined priority rewards and package cost $269 and included parking, deluxe room, 2 drinks in bar, 2 course dinner in restaurant (including bottle of wine), buffet breakfast and 1.00pm checkout! Room was on 17th floor with... More

Very comfortable room, good amenities. The bed was super comfy and the room was well equipped. The only critique although small is the bathroom is very compact and opening the door to the bathroom, hits on the toilet, it wasnt a major thing for us as we were only there one night, might get annoying if you were staying longer.... Upon checkin we were given our key card and sent up to our room only to find that housekeeping where still cleaning our room. The toilets in the restaurant/bar were broken (the seats were wobbling), and when we ordered room service dessert not only was it tiny the coffee was ridiculously overpriced and tasted terrible. The shower in the poky... More

Sub-parr experience from the start although facilities were good with free internet and printing in the business centre and such a fantastic location within city centre and walking distance to all we needed. On check in, we discovered the one party had only been booked for 1 night (even though both couples were supposed to be staying for 2). Staff... More
