This would have to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The staff were friendly all except one that would not smile and snapped at us. It is great to have sensor lights in the hallways but not if they only come on half way down the hall and you walk half the hall in the dark.... More

A great location, comfortable apartment. Plenty of space with a separate bedroom. Ours came with kitchenette. Staff friendly and so helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Parking was three doors up and cost $20.

In the 3 times we dealt with reception, not a smile was cracked or any enthusiasm shown for us to have a pleasant stay. Room was average - decent size but very tired. Checkout was 10am but at 9.20 the cleaner walked in despite a do not disturb sign on the door. I'd go 2 doors along the street to... More

Great CBD location, let down by slow and disinterested service from the front desk staff. Self contained room was clean and well equiped, however, it was a very hot day and the air con was not up to the job. The hair dryer was also missing. Would be a good place for a family stay on a budget. Missed the... More

Stay the weekend of 5 December with family in room 201. Location is great and had no issues with staff. Being close to the free tram staton was great for us . Most definitely needs renovation time. Only issues for us were that the air conditioning did work effectively and the phone did not work .

The receptionist was damn rude at my friend when we were dropping off bags of our friends who were going to stay at this serviced apartment. Asking guys can't be there were girls are staying even though we were just dropping of the bags. They say guest are allowed till 10pm but never had a meaning to it. Next thing... More

Out of the many things wrong and not up to standard, the one thing that brings the worst out of this apartment is the rude reception staff. Working in a hospitality environment these staff members have no manners or communication skills. Guests are give no privacy at any time of the day or night as staff threatens you by walking... This is the worst place i have ever been in Melbourne. The staff are racist, illiterate and rude. Biggest liars sitting at the reception to welcome you and also ready to extort money. The Rooms are not at all equipped with basic linen. the rooms were filthy. Staff are unaware of the hotels Terms and conditions, and also misleading. if... More

Stayed at this place last night for one night. And I'm thankful it was only one night. The receptionist was lovely and it is in a good location, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. When we entered the room (tiny 1 bedroom with a shower in the bathtub, but we were only there to sleep so size wasn't that... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
