The hotel is in a great location. Some aspects of the rooms are in need of refurbishment such as the bathrooms. Breakfast serviceis basic. The staff are very friendly and efficient A useful basic hotel which offers good value. I willl certainly return.

I have never stayed in a hotel where there is a room directly opposite the lifts? Terrible idea!!!! All night people where coming and going and waiting around at the lifts - as they do, but being right outside the room, didn't sleep well at all. If we booked breakfast online it would have cost $28- each, however, when we... More

Stayed for 2 nights as a mystery hotel booking. Location good as still in CBD but on edge. Trams make getting around easy though wherever in CBD. Fitzroy Gardens just across the road - also near Old Treasury Building and Parliament House. Can walk to MCG / Rod Laver Arena / AAMI Park. Had a room on the ninth floor... More

I was looking for a suitable hotel in Melbourne for a one night stay near Spring & Collins Streets, this Mercure Hotel was my choice with a room upgrade at a small price added. The room had a lovely view over the park and towards the MCG and the East. The hotel room had a coffee machine and dressing gowns,... More

A well located venue which is situated close to events and transportation. However, what makes the stay in this particular Mecure hotel are good experience is the happy staff. The good humour and willingness of staff to engage with clients makes for pleasent stay. The hotel in this case is more than bricks and paint, its the staff that the... More

The room was a bit tired and shabby, the bar had nothing to eat at 11 pm (no snacks or packets of chisps despite it being just after the Friday night football) and the buffet breakfast very disappointing
