Our first stay in the Mercure and we were happy. While it's showing its age it was good to have a room large enough to swing a cat in and a coffee shop that covered all the basics. It was also handy to have the Sofitel nearby for a more up-market breakfast one morning.

Stayed for two nights got a great deal including full buffet breakfast room was clean but bathroom was a bit small. We had a enjoyable stay . Friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant. Good location close to MCG and city circle tram.

We stayed here for 3 nights, after spending one night at the Sofitel just around the corner. The staff were just so lovely and helpful, they checked us in early (around 11.30am) and even upgraded our room for my birthday :) I thought the room was really nice, it felt small after the Sofitel, however, compared to places like Europe... For a couple of nights stay in a good location and without huge expectations this hotel will do you fine. Room was clean and neat if a bit dark. Bathroom was a bit small but functional and clean. General maintenance seemed good and bed was comfortable. Only downside in room was that heater did not appear to work. So just... More

A basic 3 star property.... a very small bathroom and very small bedroom and not enough lighting in the bedroom. Would I come back no... there are better options in Melbourne. The restaurant staff were okay but seemed very inexperienced.

The room was alot smaller than pictured. Our room key and other people room key were not working. We had to park off site down the street and when it came time to leave our parking ticket didnt work even though the hotel staff said it had been validated. I've had better experiences.

I stayed for two nights in the balcony room. The room decor is really nice - makes the room bright and uplifting. If you stay here for longer and if budget is an issue, this room is great. Although not big, its more cosy than small, and the balcony makes the room feel bigger. And the view to the Treasury... More

We were impressed by the quality of the rooms (King bed) with plenty of space, good quality fittings, bedding and bathroom. Generous breakfast buffet with too much choice.... Food at restaurant, and all day cafe are pluses as well. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
