Not on the waterfront, but a few short blocks back, and ideally situated for the River, the centre, and Southern Cross Station. Room was vast, clean, well appointed. This is no deal - this is a steal! more

We were very pleased with our recent 3 night stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an apartment hotel with more room than a standard hotel where you can cook some meals and do laundry. We found the staff to be extremely helpful. The hotel is in the central business district to very... more

We chose the Medina from our research on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. It was pretty much what we were expecting, some reviewers mentioned the people on the front desk were rude/unhelpful but we did not find this at all, they were very professional and polite. We stayed in a single bedroom deluxe apartment for 4nts. The view was nonexistent,... more

I stayed for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 18th floor with my 14yr daughter and 23yr niece. The location is excellent .. within walking distance of everything. The gym, pool and sauna were excellent and we used them most days. The staff were very helpful. Just a couple of minor points that aren't worth mentioning means... more

Stayed here a few nights for work. Had a one bedroom appartment with plenty of room, quite a cheap rate. Had a really nice place for a la carte breakfast downstairs. More of a trendy cafe than a hotel restaurant. Location is convinient for the city. Plenty of places for dinner nearby. more

I actually liked staying here. The staff were always very friendly and happy to help, not sure whether it helped that I was staying 2 weeks or that I was from UK, but they seemed friendly to everyone. I stayed in a 1 bedroomed apartment and unlike the previous reviewer I did have a TV in my bedroom and living... more

medina grand hotel advantages: the receptionists are reasonably friendly, if not a bit clipped. the room is clean. the hotel is at centre of the city, with a lot of restaurants close by (go to hardware lane). disadvantages: set up of the room is very weird, I am used to having TV in front of the bed, the TV in... more

I recently stayed at the Medina Grand Melbourne with two girlfriends for a two day shopping & 'explore' Melbourne trip. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. Erica on reception was so helpful and friendly, and although we'd booked a special rate for a two bedroom apartment through Expedia, we were thrilled to find we'd been upgraded to a... more
