Booked 2 standard rooms for my sister's wedding. The Hotel Lindrum feels quite intimate and special when you first walk in. It has a small footprint and feels more like a boutique hotel than 1 owned by a large hotel chain. The Lobby doubles up as a bar. There is free wifi on the ground floor and there are 2... more

My wife and I were chased away from the Great Barrier Reef by a cyclone in March, 2009. We flew to Melbourne and had a wonderful time at the Lindrum Hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is courteous and very helpful. There are laptop computers available for travelers to use in the hotel rooms. The free... more

Near the end of a 7-week trip through French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia, I spent a week in Melbourne. All along the way, my travel agent had booked me into very tourist group-oriented hotels, centrally located and mostly okay, but not very luxe. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into Hotel Lindrum. Very chic lobby, friendly, helpful staff,... more

My Husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel Lindrum and were extremely pleased with our choice. We arrived at the Lindrum after a swift pickup and drop off by Jetbus (more about that later) and were received into the cosy interior of the Lindrum. Upon arrival there is a large wooden door - which is not completely... more

The location is sensational, so close to everything Melbourne has too offer. The staff were so attentive and prepared to help in anyway possible. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and quiet - very peaceful accommodation. Room service was generous, the restaurant great. Everything in this hotel was spot on. Overall, a very relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the... more

There are many positives at this hotel, but I felt strong enough with a major negative to (after years of reading reviews) creating a tripadvisor account and posting. There is no wireless internet in the rooms - but the real problem is that even when you are connected via Ethernet cable, the connection is worse than the old 2400 baud... more

This is a great boutique hotel. Well located, about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. Rooms are larger than I was expecting, decorated in a contemporary style and tastefully furnished. Bathroom was also spacious with a great shower but no bath. There's a complimentary CD library with a good selection to choose from. Staff were friendly and efficient.... more

My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay in a deluxe room at the Lindrum. To call us "picky" would be an understatement, so I was a little concerned about how we would find the Lindrum having read some recent reviews. We arrived late at night - 10pm, and found the reception staff friendly. The restaurant... more

We stayed here 2 nights at the end of a 6 day trip to Melbourne and based our decision on the hotel's overall rating here on TA and also wanting to experience a true Melbourne style hotel. Having read previous comments we booked a Deluxe room. I found the Deluxe Room poorly laid out and not reflective of the photos... more
