Today we arrived home from a week in Melbourne where we stayed at the Grand Chancellor, the staff were friendly and efficient, all facilities were up to standard such as the pool etc however my main complaint or peeve fell within our room. Firstly, this isn't a review picking at tiny details however for us they were major details! The... More

We stayed here for a night out for 2 parents in need of a kid free outing. From the minute we walked in, staff were ready to help. We arrived at 12, room not ready. No big deal, we thought we could see a movie. The reception staff were right on it. Offering to check what was on, what time... More

The Grand Chancellor is ideally situated for the many restaurants and bars. Chinatown is well worth a visit especially the Sichuan House restaurant in Corrs lane. The Pomodoro restaurant which is virtually opposite is excellent. The hotel also has its own restaurant which serves great food, especially steak. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean with nice decor. The rooms are... More

We decided at the last minute to stay overnight in Melbourne. We looked for a reasonable rate on the internet and found a room at the Grand Chancellor. The internet is quoted the last room available at that rate. When we arrived we were advised that we had been upgrade to a superior room on the 15th floor. The staff... More

Thank you All at the Grand Chancellor. Check in and out was very easy and nice. I loved the rooms, small balcony, products and the pool upstairs. The hotel is not highly rated enough in the city. I am just back from travelling NSW and Victoria and this hotel was one of the highlights. Great location in the city for... More

Stayed here 15-18 december 2014. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, the staff on check in and check out were very friendly and helpful. The room was well sized and clean, there wasn't much of a view from the room but it's hardly like you visit Melbourne to stay inside a hotel room! Bathroom was to a good... More

This hotel while being in a great location and was clean and well maintained, it felt a little claustrophobic as the ceiling height was really low. While being at the front of the hotel, our room had a limited view of the street and was obstructed by other buildings. The hotel also doesn't have onsite parking and we had to... More

I use to live in Melbourne and had also stayed here over 10 years ago. The room back then was dated but the location has always been excellent so I was happy to compromise. The rate I got for the cheapest room was good so I was happy to book with minimal expectation. I was expecting the room to have... More

Stayed on a sat night as it was a girls weekend for 3 adults. Booked last minute and got a basic room, when we arrived staff advised we would be quite squishy with a double bed and a rollaway and we could upgrade for small fee. Stayed in premier king room and it was beautiful and modern. Great view as... More
