The hotel has a gorgeous ground floor bar and lobby area, but it's next door to the Backpackers so can get some dodgy types hanging about. Stayed from 10/6 to the 14/6 to attend football found the staff very friendly and helpful, hotel located close to public transport (both Tram & Train). Walking distance to Etihad Stadium, the Crown and many other atractions. The room though small was comfortable and warm only downside was the Bathroom / onsuite was compact but served its purpose. more

Constant 'whirring' of washing machine spin cycle or airconditioner compressor throughout day and night that must have been on the other side of one of the walls. Remote for TV had gone missing. "Hot' water was a dribble and luke warm and experienced by other rooms as well. Staff unable to improve any of above complaints when I voiced them... more

The Pensione Boutique hotel was in a very good location. It was a slow 5min walk to South Bank across the bridge and very close to the huge casino. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they managed to check us into the room even though it was early. The rooms are VERY small, you could not swing anything... more
