The rooms are fantastic but sometimes you face another building with only a small side street in between which means you can clearly see people and they can clearly see you but it is Melbourne. I always have problems with check in/check out as the room deposit it's supposed to be paid via my company and sometimes i've had to... More

Great value for family of 4. Stayed in room 101 - was very spacious with cooking facilities, fridge and very large bathroom. The room had a high window with little natural light. It was in a good location - near to shops and restaurants. Trams are free - we caught tram to Docklands for dinner one evening. We had breakfast... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Mantra. We were two women travelling together and had a studio apartment with 2 x queen beds. The room was quiet, well equipped with a lounge area and kitchenette, beds were very comfortable. We arrived early - 7.30am after travelling overnight and the hotel was kind enough to allow us to check in. We... More

Last week I went on a short trip to Melbourne with my family and stayed at the Mantra on Little Bourke. We absolutely loved the location as we were able to easily walk to all of the main attractions. It was also easy to catch the bus to the airport from this location. Both nights we had drinks at the... More

We had a girls' trip (2 mums, 4 girls) to Melbourne to do a bit of shopping and see a musical. We found the location to be handy (both from the train station and the centre of the CBD). The Bourke Street tram stopped right at a lane which took us through to the hotel easily, and the walk down... More

Overall the experience was excellent however my ice maker on my fridge didn't work and the car parking was a little expensive ($30) also in checkout they used the card I checked. In with without asking so had to rectify but not necessarily all their fault overall very impressive

Stayed here for five nights. Nice big rooms but a bit dark. It is a bit dated. Really good gym on the top floor. No pool. We were on the 3rd floor and were woken at 4am by rubbish trucks and then again at 5am but not every day. All up quite a good hotel in a good location

I booked a one bedroom deluxe spa room for 6 nights over the Christmas period. The first positive thing was the room being ready early despite the 2pm check in. The next positive thing was that the room was HUGE! I actually had a 'wow' moment. Very large lounge/dining area, separate kitchenette, and huge bathroom with one of the best... More

We took a punt on this hotel based on its location and the fact that their "standard" rooms are suites. Check-in was quick and easy and, because I mentioned that we were visiting Melbourne for our wedding anniversary when booking the room, the lady at reception (Maggy) informed us that we had been upgraded to a premier executive suite on... We recently stayed at this hotel for four days and found it at best a three star. Simple common small things like slippers are not supplied. The hotel is a bit run down and general bathroom cleanliness was below par, although on complaining there was an effort made to rectify, largely unsatisfactory though. Location is very good and valet parking... More
