i stayed at this hotel for 2 days and was very disappointed. the second day, cleaning staff came to our room and removed plates and food yet they did not clean our room. when we rang to complain, we were told we had put a do not disturb light on, which we did not. there was also no tooth brush... more

I stayed for 1 night in a Premier room and only paid $125, which included parking. I was doing a 2-day course at the Alfred hospital, which is about a 5min walk away. The hotel allowed me to leave my car there for both days despite not checking in until later, The staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful. The check... more

I picked this hotel because we were only going to be there to sleep - as we were catching a flight the next morning. It was pretty cheap - $150 for two double beds - as we were travelling with a toddler & baby it was a good set up. Bath in the room was good - pool looked great... more

We booked 3 nights at this hotel and we booked a premier room, not a standard. At first when u walk in, it looks ok, only to be greeted by unfriendly snobby reception staff. Furthermore, I made sure I checked out the hotel's website before I booked to ensure the pics on wotif.com were actually accurate. After ensuring the PREMIER... more

Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel offers free parking, but you have to check in first in order to access it. Theoretically you can park out the front, but the whole time we were there, tour buses were taking up all the spaces out the front. This hotel is used primarily for Japanese and senior tours, so the lobby... more

We have stayed at this hotel everytime we have been to Melbourne but one time last September we travelled as a three and they put us in one of those rooms where there was a door to connecting to the next room. Hearing the neighbours, heairng the constant tapping they make was annoying. So I went down to the reception... more

Booked 3 nights at this hotel and at first appearances seemed very nice. The room we stay in was horrible. It was one of those rooms with a door through to the next door room but I'm sure it was made from rice paper as your could hear everything the neighbours were saying or watching. You can hear everything that... more

The noise of water from the airconditoner dripping onto the already soaking wet carpet kept us awake all night. We requested a change of room and had the same problem again. No apology from reception staff, none of whom seemed to have any customer relations skills. The only helpful staff were the cleaners. Rooms smelt musty because of wet carpet,... more

We booked our stay at the Bayview On The Park, Melbourne through Ratestogo.com, having first done what we considered a fair amount of research online (reviews and comments, such as those featured here). We are a young couple who would not consider ourselves fussy or snooty, but thought that, from what we had read, this hotel offered a good compromise... more

We stayed for a Saturday night in June to attend our child's sporting event nearby the next day. Have stayed here twice before and since our last visit the rooms have had an upgrade - not the furniture, but soft furnishings, paint, etc. Not flash, but very clean and comfortable. We find Bayview excellent value for money - $160 for... more
