Despite only one lift available the wait was not too long. Really loved the microwave and kitchen sink in my room, so convenient not having to go to bathroom for water. The location was near so many eateries and close to all parts of Melbourne CBD.

Stayed in the Mercure Welcome as my usual picks in Melbourne were very expensive for the night. This hotel is currently undergoing renovations so there was only 1 lift working which was a bit of an issue at peak times. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations at the moment but this has not affected my experience the least bit. It has been a wonderful experience. I love how convenient it is to get to the shops, tram station, restaurants, museums, and a lot more. The toilet in the room has been upgraded and it was nicely done up.

Great location, close to CBD and transport. Easy walking distance to MCG, AAMI & Rod Laver Arena. Had a nice clean and quiet room overlooking Chinatown. City lights looked great at night. Staff were helpful and friendly with any questions.

Great location to the university, library & china town area. Easy access to the free city tram no. 35 & shopping areas. Easy stroll to the Town hall, Art Gallery, Federation square or Flinders street station
