Tucked away in the heart of the cbd, loads of dining and shopping close by, great staff. Only stayed one night but will definitely be back! The room was clean, compact but big enough for one or two. If your wanting value for money, central location and comfy beds then this place is for you.

The location for this hotel is excellent, right in the city. I travelled with a teenage son and we had twin beds. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was reasonably new. We had breakfast in the hotel one day and it was a standard buffet. We booked the room at booking.com so got a deal -... More

As we were in the city for a show one evening, we decided to stay the night. Having stayed in the Mercure Welcome hotel beforehand, we knew what to expect. When we have stayed here before, we booked and received a room with a queen bed. Much to our delight, this time our room had a king-sized bed in it.... More

We stayed at the Mecure Welcome Hotel for one night. The room was tiny but very clean. You wouldn't want to have to spend a lot of time there due to lack of space. Both room and bathroom rather tired. It was in a great position for shopping which was our reason for staying there and was also very cheap.

We found that the overall stay was quite good with the pony downside being noise emanating from adjacent rooms throughout the night. The rooms did not appear to be noise proof. We had children in one room tapping on the wall during the early hours of the morning and when we banged back the noise stopped. Then early departures where... More

We are currently staying at the Mercure Welcome Hotel for 2 nights. We decided to book a Weekend Escape deal in a Privilege Room (available on the Accor Hotels website). Slightly dearer, but you get a King Room with a Nespresso machine, robes, Wifi and chocolates. The Weekend Escape deal included breakfast and $50 food & beverage credit. Well worth... More

Location is what won me over. This place is great if you just want to explore Melbourne all day. The standard rooms with Queen bed are very very VERY small, so don't expect to stay here all day. Its cheap stay so we didn't expect much. Its good for business people who are only here for a bed to sleep... More

Dear AJnAlexC, Thank you for your recent patronage and your time to provide a review. The location of the hotel would have been one of the greatest advantages of your stay. As you mentioned you are in the centre of the city with all tourist attractions and shopping and restaurants & bars at your doorstep. We look forward to welcoming... More
