If you want a motel right in the middle of the city, this is the place for you. Its right at the entrance of china town. The pace was a bit to frantic for me though. The motel seemed new and all the fittings and furniture were in good condition. Having the aircon ticking over provided enough "white noise" to... More

The first room we were given actually had a cockroach climbing one of the walls. The bath had a large rust spot in it. The next room had one of their renovated bathrooms with a shower instead. Much nicer until we went to sleep. The acoustics were terrible. The sound of waste water running through the pipes above your head.... More

Bins being moved down the alleyway at 3am in the morning, lots of banging of doors, other noise just made it a long night, the absolute noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Rooms are adequate but nothing special, location is good but that's all it has going for it. We would not recommend nor stay at again

Dear Lison2, Thank you for your time to provide a review. I am very sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay with us due to the noise from the rubbish collections as well as from the neighboring rooms. I know you have indicated that you will not stay again and for this I am sorry. With 330... More

Centrally located in Melbourne, close to Bourke St Mall and walking distance from all main attractions. Rooms were small however clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in our rate and is a must, great buffet breakfast however expensive if not included in room price. Would stay there again as room prices are cheap

This hotel is located right in the heart of Melbourne. Easy access to public transport. Myers, David Jones and Emporium is located next door. Convenience stores and restaurants just across the street. The room is rather small with limited view but clean. Ideal for short stay.

I know that the hotel is located amidst expensive part of Melbourne but the size of the room is really small considering it Mercure grade. It is more closer to the size of Ibis. The interior is fair, I would say, but should have been better!

Dear Prasast, We appreciate any feedbacks, especially one from Senior Contributor. The Mercure Welcome Melbourne is a 3.5 star hotel which offers excellent value for money given it’s location in very the heart of Melbourne. In the future, maybe you might wish to consider staying at the adjacent The Swanston Hotel, Grand Mercure, as I am sure that you will... More

In terms of location, you cannot beat this hotel, which is located on the fringe of Chinatown and it's DIRECTLY opposite from Melbourne's latest shopping haven: Emporium! And that's the Department Store where UNIQLO chooses to be based in Southern Hemisphere and so, for shopping enthusiast, this hotel is brilliantly located. You can say that the layout of the hotel...
