We enjoyed our stay at the Crossley Hotel in Melbourne. Staff was friendly and the room nice and clean. Wifi and location (close to Chinatown) with Tram-Connection were good. It was very quiet in the room!

Yes I stayed for four nights and found the room very good. Excellent location. We were on the fifth floor facing the street. The linen great. The Internet was free and slower than in peak guest viewing periods. The bathroom was great. The cleanliness 10 out 10 . The lift fast. The staff are extremely helpful. Had a great short stay. The hotel is positioned quiet in the middle of the centre. You are just in between of Chinatown and all the large shopping roads. The girl that worked day-time reception was awesome, friendly and blessed with a dynamite voice ;) They looked after my luggage on depature day and let me change clothes just before... More

We found The Crossley Hotel to be clean, comfortable and in a great location . We needed to stay near the Princess Theatre and this hotel was a great choice. It was very convenient to China Town with many choices for dinner. We enjoyed our stay.

The Crossley was a good place to stay, there is no laundry for guests to use and on the Friday and Saturday nights the street noise was a little loud but overall was a good stay. It is very well situated if you need to get around the city and china town.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
