This hotel is gorgeous. The reception is funky and staff do welcoming and efficient. The room we had was beautiful with a personalized welcome note inked on the mirror and of course the highly anticipated 'happy lab' jar of goodies! It didn't disappoint and was replenished daily. We even got a nightly macaroon cookie near the beds...along with earplugs....which I... More

Attention to detail made my stay at Adelphi special. Details like being offered tea or coffee at check in, the welcome message on the mirror, the complimentary drinks and snacks made a huge difference to the quality of my experience. The room itself was comfortable and well decorated. I appreciated the blackout blinds and the spacious, mirrored stainless bathroom. The... More

We chose the Adelphi for its location, in particular its proximity to Movida. We definitely made the right choice as we were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to see in Melbourne (or catch the tram within the free zone). The staff were very friendly; we arrived early and they minded our bags for us before check-in... More

I'm in Melb every couple weeks for work and I have been to many hotels.... I will never look anywhere else. The staff are amazing, always cheerful and willing to help. Central to everything and just on of the best hotels I have been to in Australia. If your on business or holiday and coming to Melbourne look no where... More

The Adelphi's location is perfect. It has a hipster vibe and the service was fantastic. We were offered complimentary coffee as we checked in (and the room was actually ready when we arrived unlike many other hotels) and then when we checked out. Free (quality) snacks and soft drinks in the mini-bar. Free movies. You didn't feel that you were... More

Having read a lot of reviews about this hotel (Time Out, etc) whilst the Adelphi Hotel advertises itself as a boutique / funky hotel, we were underwhelmed by our stay here. The room was OK in terms of furnishing but nothing out of the ordinary other than a few funky colours and some feature lighting. A sofa you couldn't exactly... More

I can't fault the Adelphi. The staff are really friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are a bit on the pricey side, but In my opinion, they still represent good value for money for a special occasion. The location is excellent with great local shops, restaurants and tourist landmarks.

The Adelphi is a refreshing change from large, conservative hotels. Located close to theatres, Federation Square and Swanston Street, yet hidden in the backstreets that make Melbourne famous. It's a small hotel, so it has more of a 'personal feeling'. The rooms are visually stimulating. Hidden lighting adds character to the room. The blackout curtains keep the room dark while... More

I'm not that easy to impress but the team at Adelphi certainly did that. The whole check in process was refreshingly different, starting with a glass of champagne(!). I was then taken to my room and given a tour of the room rather than being left to figure things out for myself. And most delightfully, all the lovely snacks and... More

Gorgeous hotel. Just watch your shins on the sharp edges of the designer furniture. But don't let that comment put you off because your senses will appreciate everything else (unless you like low ceilings, boring cherry coloured furniture and beige carpets. If so, book pretty much any other hotel.) The Adelphi, the Prince, the Lyall, the Royce, the Blackman. These... More
