The Atlantis gets the job done as a no-frills accommodation. Staff are friendly and very casual, though rather poorly informed about local attractions and necessities like medical help. The Atlantis turned out better than expected - large functional rooms - only downside - sealed windows. Views across to the Ethiad Stadium. Convenient - the free Circle tram passes outside, supermarket and airport bus terminal 5 minutes walk away. Stayed here with my mum in June 2008 and we were both very happy with this place. Great location across from Southern Cross station and DFO, only a short walk to the CBD and Docklands. This hotel is situated directly across the road from Spencer St/Southern Cross rail and coach station so the location is absolutely perfect; there's a Coles supermarket across the road, a huge factory outlet centre there too, and the free city circle tram stops round the corner.
