After messing up with my reservations and putting it under another name, despite having called previously to confirm the booking and sort out the mistake, it had not been changed on the system. I stayed on NYE and found that the place had very poor noise-cancelling walls. I could hear the conversations of people walking passed outside! Made it hard... More

Stayed at this hotel on New Year's Eve. Paid on line for a King Spa Suite. Told at check-in that there was no carparking available - sorry, what?? No, definitely, carpark is not included in the price of $238. But for an extra $15 we could park in the next property along. Paid the extra $15, had to park somewhere... More

Fantastic facilities. Lovely staff - well dressed too. In particular Shannon who greeted us at the front door and went out of his way to ensure our room was ready for an early check in. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

A key point is that this hotel is not competing with the 5 star options. It operates in a lower market and does it very well. The location is surprisingly very good. Within 15 mins walk and we were in the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We will stay there again... More

This hotel has a great location for sightseeing and easy access to downtown. Found the hotel very clean and comfortable. The rooms were on the smaller side, and the bathroom was made for a hobbit. Small, small bathroom. A small sink in front of the toilet, results in knees hitting the cabinet, and the toilet paper holder being in your... More

Stayed here for the second time this year with a big travel party (giving them the benefit of the doubt) and once again very disappointed. Male receptionist was again very very rude and even argued when trying to clarify a problem. Last time I would ever stay here. Very disgusted again. Really need to work on customer service and the... Stayed three nights on a second visit. My room this time was small, dark and adjacent to the corridor fire door which was noisy as it banged every time it closed and with early departures for some folks - it wasn't good. Breakfast was good and the staff efficient. Overall, would recommend for a short stay as the location is... More

Good hotel with decent sized room, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and ironing board. Just around corner from Lygon St which has numerous restaurants. also very close to free tram which will take you to all Melbourne's attractions although it would only take 20 minutes to walk to the city centre.

I was a little concerned about my stay, having read the Trip Advisor reviews after making my booking, so I was prepared for the worst. However, I found this hotel to be a very reasonable hotel. I think it is classed as a 3.5 star hotel, and I would agree with that rating. I chose the hotel because of location,... More

We've actually stayed here several times (around 8-10). Firstly, it's around the corner to Lygon Street (Italian restaurant heaven), a stroll across to Brunswick Street, Fitzroy (another great foodie area) and easy walking into the city center. It's nothing too fancy, but the rooms are a good size, well furnished, it's always clean and the staff very friendly. Do ask... More
