For a three star hotel I was impressed. Yes the rooms are small but your in the heart of the city & amongst it all. The room was clean & tidy with complimentary bathroom products. The staff we're warm & friendly letting us check in 3 hrs early. continental breakfast was included in the room rate with rooms being serviced... More

Room was warm, clean and dry. Basic accommodation but centrally located. Bathroom was small but overall the room serviced our needs. Staff were helpful when asked. I felt that they knew they were the 'budget hotel' as they went and got ice for us from their sister hotel across the way and apologetic that they didn't have a nice machine.... More

Really bare bones, really budget. Should be avoided unless you really can't afford better. OK if you're in town for a meeting and need to sleep over but not anything more. Double room was really small - no room to swing a rat, never mind a cat. Air conditioner was making a continuous noise like a snare drum with a... More

Hotel has no spa rooms. If looking for a nice place to stay and relax then go to the other 2 causeways. Causeway inn on the mall is the crapy one. No toilet brush in bathroom, no mini bar, reception staff not friendly. Swipe card wouldnt work and had to get new ones after one day. One night next bedroom... More

Centrally Located in CBD walking distance too all things we required, public transport at door abundant cafe's and restaurants and major food outlets within five minute walk. 20 minute walk to Eithaed Stadium and 22 minute walk to MCG. Room smallish but comfortable for the minimal time spent there. Overall very good Staff Brekky was just right.

This hotel could not be in a better location for shopping! In a cool laneway with cafes and a yummy bakery, opposite myers. It was about 20 mins to walk from Flinders Station. Hotel was basic but staff helpful. Beds comfy and water nice and hot. DOnt expect luxuary but really good value I thought

We couldn't fault this centrally located hotel, clean spacious for what we wanted it for ( sleep in). Only short walks to downtown Melbourne.. Very friendly staff and for the price we couldn't argue and we'd stay here again if ever in Melbourne.

Causeway Inn on the Mall was right in the heart of the city. Walk out the hotel, and up the road about 20 metres and you find yourself in the Bourke Street mall, where there is also a tram stop conveniently located. On the doorstep of the hotel you have quite a few cafes to choose from if you want... More

Trying to get directions to the carpark entrance that Causeway on the Mall uses took three phone calls and 2 hrs of driving around Melbourne. Saying the cnr of Collins and Elizabeth does not tell someone which way they should be travelling and which of those two streets one should be travelling on. Also, being a hotel, one would think... Stayed at Causeway Inn for 2 nights with family recently and I was impressed. The rooms were small (booked two separate rooms, one twin and other queen) but they were tidy, clean, cozy and the bathrooms were in good condition. The Causeway Inn is located in the hustle and bustle of the city (Bourke St), getting around CBD's shops, cafes,... More
