As a past regular at Mantra hotels around Oz, must say was somewhat disappointed with my recent stay at the Mantra on St Kildare road , Melbourne. Yes the rooms were ok and adequate, however the customer service was very below standard with staff really not showing any friendliness and everything seemed an inconvenience. Even worse was the staff in... More

I often stay at this hotel, due to its location to my Melbourne office, which was formally known as the Mint hotel until Mantra recently took over. On my most recent stay it was refreshing to see that the recent change in ownership had not resulted in any loss of quality or service. The rooms are quite small but offer... More

We booked a 1br. apt. as my husband had to have a medical procedure & we would be spending more time in hotel, but told these apt. look onto a brick wall, so hotel kindly upgraded us to a 2br. apt with a view, at front of building, a nice note & box of chocolates. Heart sank when arrived, had... More

We stayed here four nights, the hotel is nice, clean, looks new. It has a laundry and a very basic gym. So in general it is OK but due to the location it is totally business oriented so do not waste time asking for tips or directions from the staff. There is a very nice park a few blocks away

We have stayed in this area before and knew it's nice and quiet. The location is good, a $10 - $15 taxi fare to Southbank, or The tram is right there also. The staff at the front desk were always polite and friendly. Our balcony was very small which looked straight into offices directly opposite. (they may have copped an... More

I recently stayed at the mantra for a 3 night stay. As I never been to Melbourne before I instantly was disappointed in the location as it wasn't close to the city and was surrounded by office buildings but after getting use to the tram system i realised it was only a short 10 min tram trip into the central... As well as being a very good hotel the location is excellent. On one of the world's most beautiful roads it is a short tram ride into the City, walking distance to the vibrant strips of Chapel St, Prahran and Fitzroy St, St Kilda. I also liked its proximity to The Avenue Hospital in Windsor. The room was very comfortable,... More

I recently stayed at the mantra for the weekend with my mother due to a family function in St Kilda. We arrived pretty late and were exhausted from our evening flight and were greeted by some lovely late night staff who made us feel right at home, helping us with directions to for the next day and how to navigate... Stayed for only 1 night, didn't use any additional facilities or the mini-bar. Was over-charged on the credit card for the stay and attempted to clarify and get the over-charge re-imbursed. Took multi phone calls, waiting and confusion and they couldn't even find my account let alone the additional charges Wouldn't recommend staying here for all the extra hassle. Plenty... More

Recently stayed 4 nights at the Mantra St Kilda. The hotel staff were lovely but that was where it ended. The room was tiny and you could barley turn around in the tiny shower. There was a small balcony but there was no way of using it because there was a woping great concrete column running through balcony and a huge... More
