We stayed for a week here and our experience was polarizing. The plusses are: 1. The location - right on the tram line, between CBD, St Kilda and Chapel Street. Access to everything without being in the middle of the crowds 2. Rooms plus kitchenette - great set up for both pleasure and business. Nicely appointed, nothing special but great... More

This hotel is clean and new. It is not centric centric but very close to tram and bus. The staff is not very friendly, they hardly say hello when you come in. Internet is quite expensive (around $12 per day) and slow. Bed was very confortable and the decoration horrible

Had a short stay here. The room was modern and clean. Everything you needed in a compact apartment. The bathroom wasn't bad and was clean. The toiletries included weren't bad either. Bed and pillows were good. There was no noise, so a pretty good night sleep. I'd stay again.

Stayed with family on vacation. We took two interconnected one bedroom apartments. The apartments are contemporary with all amenities needed in an apartment. The location is good as its a short walk away from tram station, with a short ride to the city. Overall ...value for money! During our stay we did get disturbed on one night with loud voices... We recently stayed two nights at the Mantra , St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. We found the hotel in a good , quiet location and very close to a tram stop. Only a short tram ride to the city and very easy to find the hotel. For the price of the accommodation we were very happy and found restaurants close by... More

Staff were good here. The gym downstairs is very good and modern. Have found the noise from people getting in at 4am a bit disruptive though - I could hear every word so I think the wall construction is thin. Balcony is really really tiny in our room. Overall it's pretty basic but comfortable.

As a past regular at Mantra hotels around Oz, must say was somewhat disappointed with my recent stay at the Mantra on St Kildare road , Melbourne. Yes the rooms were ok and adequate, however the customer service was very below standard with staff really not showing any friendliness and everything seemed an inconvenience. Even worse was the staff in... More

I often stay at this hotel, due to its location to my Melbourne office, which was formally known as the Mint hotel until Mantra recently took over. On my most recent stay it was refreshing to see that the recent change in ownership had not resulted in any loss of quality or service. The rooms are quite small but offer... More

We booked a 1br. apt. as my husband had to have a medical procedure & we would be spending more time in hotel, but told these apt. look onto a brick wall, so hotel kindly upgraded us to a 2br. apt with a view, at front of building, a nice note & box of chocolates. Heart sank when arrived, had... More

We stayed here four nights, the hotel is nice, clean, looks new. It has a laundry and a very basic gym. So in general it is OK but due to the location it is totally business oriented so do not waste time asking for tips or directions from the staff. There is a very nice park a few blocks away
