I stayed at Citadines on Bourke in Melbourne for 4 nights in December. The room I had was more like an apartment than a conventional hotel room. It was spacious and clean. There was a fridge and Facilites to cook. I didn't use these, I was on a business trip so tended to be out most nights. I arrived at... More

Front street entrance is not enticing, but once you walk inside you'll find that this service apartment is a great option - very clean, quiet, excellent size rooms and good quality appliances (dishwasher, microwave, stove etc). No bathtub, just shower. Fitness and pool adequate. Front desk great. A six min walk straight up Bourke St to the parliament building. Otherwise,... More

I have stayed here for the second time with my husband. Both times we have had great service and the staff are very friendly. The room was clean and modern. Our bed was nice and soft and could here minimal noise overnight. The car park is easy to access and not pokey. Will stay here again.

We stayed here 4 nights in December. It is in the middle of the CBD, many restaurants and bars including shopping, is in walking distance. The rooms are well equipped, bed comfy, coin laundry available. And if you like you can pick your "nespresso" coffee at the lobby. The staff at the reception was extremly friendly!

I stayed at this hotel during Jan 16-20. This hotel has great location, right in city center on Burke Street, very close to everything, especially the shopping district. Room service quality is good. Facility is good. However, as a frequent traveler around the world, I've got two very "unique" experience from this hotel (see the first two points from the... More

Dear Sheila Y, I do apologise for any miscommunication during your recent visit. However we do attempt to perform check in formalities upon arrival whenever possible and our guests are always able to store bags until... More

First stay - corporate booking. Large rooms, very efficient and friendly reception staff, small but well stocked kitchenette and nice bathroom facilities. A simple but neat, clean and tidy apartment hotel complex. Close to all the city amenities and on the tram line.

What I liked about the hotel was the location and the spacious room. There were quite many nice restaurants, shopping malls and beautiful places to go around the hotel. Access to public transports were easy too. The hotel came with a small kitchen, equipped with everything we could use for simple cookings. The beds and sofa were clean. We stayed... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
