A centrally located no fuss hotel. Rooms were compact but had everything you need (ours even had a microwave). The buffet breakfast is also no fuss but has all the continental basics. A great place to stay if you are going to be busy in Melbourne and just need somewhere to sleep.

For a quick visit to Melbourne the location of this hotel can not be beaten. Right on the mall. Small lane it's entrance is in is lined with classic Melbourne coffee shops. Only down is car access. Taix is fine but hard with my hire car. Not use to Melbourne traffic and hotel is at the heart of it.

Stayed here 4 nights in June to attend a melbourne Storm game at AMMI Stadium. Nice little hotel hidden away in a alley that runs between Little Collins st and Collins St. Great location to all major places MCG, AMMI Park, Federation Sq, South bank etc. Clean comfortable and a continental breakfast thrown in as well. Would recommend to anyone... More

The Causeway 353's position is undoubtly perfect for both business and leisure in Melbourne although finding it in the first place is a little tricky and pays to have a look at the map before getting there, also dropping your bags off right outside the hotel is a little tricky after business hours as it is a dead end laneway... I stayed at this hotel about a year ago - and I can happily say it has improved in the last 12 months. The rooms are big, clean and modern (for the price) and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. You can walk out to Collins or Elizabeth Street and hop on a tram, or walk... More

My partner and I only stayed for one night, which happened to be during the week the aids conference was on, so check in was quite busy but staff were friendly, we had booked a king room and got upgraded to the deluxe king with a huge spa bath, it was very luxurious, and it was very clean and modern.... I stayed at causeway 353 for a recent holiday. The location is fantastic along with the price we got the room for however I had concerns with the room itself. I stayed in a deluxe king room and I didn't like the king bed being too singles pushed together it left a hard ridge in the bed and the pillows... More

Have just spent a night at this centally located hotel. Just off little Collin street close to all that is great in Melbourne. Close to all the shopping you could want, so many eating spots from coffee shops to fine dining. The hotel reception is efficient. The rooms clean, beds comfortable and the room even had a microwave if you... More

I am an ex-Melbournian and know the city well but had never heard of this particular hotel. Travelling for work I typically I stay in some of the better known 4 or 5 star hotels but I had trouble finding something available (a number of conferences were on) in that particular area. So I thought I would try Causeway 353... More
