This hotel is very centrally located. All the sights, shops, the Queen Vic Market and Federation Square are within easy walking distance. The wooden furniture is a bit shabby and the hallways could do with a lick of paint. Please dont let this put you off - the beds are comfy, the rooms very quiet and the breakfasts are really... Loved this hotel. Very business like, but cosy as well. King size bed was great. Breakfast included and excellent. No views to speak of, but how long do you spend in your hotel room when you are in Melbourne. Close to great shops and hundreds of restaurants. 5 min stroll to Flinders train station. No restaurant apart from breakfast on... More

We made a return to the 353 after a few years absence. The room showed a few signs of wear: worn carpet, scratched table, tears in chairs, but was very clean and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom a good size and well maintained. The blackout curtains did a fantastic job, and when we woke we... More

We stayed 4 nights. Excellent location and very quiet. King size bed very comfortable. Room decor very tired, but room was serviced daily with clean towels, and bed linen changed after 2 nights. We found all the staff very pleasant to deal with.More than adequate continental breakfast. If you need a hotel with views and expansive lounge area then you... More

It has a perfect location for a great experience of Melbourne but unfortunately it doesn't deliver. Front desk staff is stiff and far from friendly (passable if you are looking for a false smile). Room size just right but feels uninviting and window hasn't been cleaned for a very long time. Décor needs some colour to overcome depressing dark brown... More

Very small rooms, but clean. No room service which causes a problem when you do Philips Island day trip and the continental breakfast is really not worth the trouble. But very close and excessible to Flinders Street Train Station, the aquarium, shopping and several alleyway bars and restaurants.

I stayed in this hotel for one night in December after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I wanted a hotel close to the Bourke Street Mall, the Myer Emporium and Collins Street, this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and cosy. Only a few minutes walk to Flinders Street... More

If you are a tourist to Melbourne looking for a cheap, centrally located hotel, this place ticks all the boxes. The lane opens up right onto the Collins Street tram stop, however you are also within walking distance to most major attractions, restaurants and laneways. The rooms aren't spectacular, but are quite good for the very cheap price. Breakfast is... More

This is a very conveniently located hotel right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Little Collins Street runs off Elizabeth Street and the Causeway 353 is just a short few steps up Little Collins. To be honest, it's not the place to stay if you are after attractive, large rooms with scenic views. No, this is value, convenience and it's... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this perfectly located hotel in the CBD. This time we had a premier room with a spa bath. I recommend this over the standard room as although the service, cleanliness and appointments are of the same high quality, the size of the room makes for a more enjoyable experience as does...
