I stayed here for nearly 2 months whilst I was working in Melbourne in a bar. I met some really good friends, people are nice and kitchen is open plan but can get very busy in the evenings, rooms are small but equipped well, cleaners come daily and always smell of BO, some people smoke weed in rooms that can... ROOM 401 Window cord was broken so window wouldn't shut and so the cold night air dropped down onto the pillow and ME of course. The door knobs on the wardrobe all need tightening. ROOM 901 Bathbasin leaks onto floor

This is what a real cheap hostel is about. Big, kind of clean rooms without a/c or fan and the lacking of charging stations. More annoying was that there were no toilets on my floor and you hade to go by lift 1 floor down just to use it. There were only two lifts to complicate it more. The facilities... More

This hostel is in a great location although it does need a major clean and modernising. The ginger male I believe his name is jang is unbelievable rude and confrontational, he seriously need to change his attitude and more to the point his job. I was also very shocked to see the behaviour of another staff member a guy by... More

Really well priced, I saved 50% on the second person we booked for so ended up being about $27/night. The showers were spacious, bathrooms always clean. Location was prime and the beds pretty comfortable. Bring your own padlocks though, the lockers didn't have them which was kinda annoying.

I arrived and the two girls at the reception were talking about their business and they didn't pay attention at me and when they were doing the check in the girl seemed really annoyed. I arrived in my room that was the messiest room ever and I saw that my roommate had taken my pillow and it was dirty so... More

First night of our arrival, we (4 muslim ladies) wanted to go out for dinner. Guess what? right after we entered the elevator, we've been "grouphugged" by a drunk man, which we found a very rude act and disrespectful. For god sake, it's not even 8pm!!! This hostel located next to the bar. Expect more drunk people surrounding the area.... More

This backpackers was a good place to stay. Everything was well organized and quite clean. It felt quite safe too. The only downside was that the common area was quite small compared to the number of rooms there. But if you wanted to hang out and socialize, the bar on the first floor had pretty good deals on drinks

This hostel wins with it's great location in centre of Melbourne and close to Flinders station. Though some seem frustrated with the keycard system it ensures effective security (Though one to enter the bathrooms seemed a little OTT). The lifts are slow but use the stairs, the kitchen area is spacious and there is a good socialising space which is... More

When I arrived at 11pm on Friday evening, I was greeted by a lift that was shaking due to loud music on the 1st floor if the building. Luckily you couldn't hear this music up in the rooms. I wasn't told where my room was, nor was it obvious without asking. All other hostels have been really friendly and showed... More
