I have never felt the need to leave such a bad review, until now. We booked this hostel for our last couple of nights in Aus after spending a whole year here. We are gutted we chose this place. We booked simply because of the reviews. Only to find out, these "good reviews" are written by the PERMANENT residents, and... More

If you wanna stay close to the beach, in the center of St Kilda, this Hostel is the right destination for you. You stay very familiar with loads of other backpackers all around the world in a quite calm area of st Kilda.

Had a six night stay at this hostel over New Years. It's the worst hostel I've ever stayed in due to its cleanliness. The rooms had long terms stayers in (people had been there for three months) and their stuff was spread across the floor. There was 1 bathroom between 12 people and at one point there were two bed... We stayed here as a group of 4 that had planned to stay for a few days. We were checked in and arrived in our room to see mould all over the walls and skirting boards, stale damp smells and blood stains on the beds and sheets! As well as the dirtiness of the room we also felt unsafe, while... More

I have stayed in my fair share of hostels around the world and i can safely say this was my most enjoyable experience. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and are happy to help at any hour. The dorms are great, kept clean and tidy by some excellent staff and the beds are perfectly comfortable. The 11 o'clock curfew is... More

Stayed here for the month in October 2014 to finish off my first year WHV in Aus. Made some great friends in my room, who made me very welcome and instantly felt part of the family. As with any hostel, the kitchen gets quite busy between around 6 and 9pm each night, but is mostly kept very clean by the... More

I like doing a pros/cons list but it's not needed on this one We stayed here for three nights. Couldn't wait to leave by the end. We found St.Kilda overrated and I'd only do a day or two day trip at most in hindsight. Our room was full of long term people which the people were good but it was... More

Very nice hostel with friendly staff and a good place to meet people. I stayed here for 3 weeks already and there are many people who also stay for a longer period but it is also fine for if you are traveling around and want to see places in st kilda. Kitchen gets cleaned 3 times a day and the... More

It was a shared dorm & it was filthy! It didn't look like it'd been properly vacuumed or cleaned reguarly enough & the t.v was giving"no signal"(like the 1 in the shared lounge room,it only worked for about 1 hr & a 1/2).The kitchen was so cramped & no stove,it looked like just some elements to cook on.Staff were supposted to...
