We have stayed at City View Motel several times over the years. Recently there has be a change of staff or management and the service has gone down hill. The person on reception struggled to crack a smile and basically handed us the key and grunted. The room rates have gone up a considerable amount and there is no breakfast.... more

We stayed twice at City View, last time in Oct this year. After the new owner have taken over this place is just fantastic. All looks fresh, the rooms are wonderful. Perfect views and the perfect location for all kind of trips in Southern Tasmania. We love this place and will be back very soon. more

We stayed at City View in April. It is in a great location although you need to look out for the sings to find it. Its well sign posted just keep an eye out. I stayed here in February 2006. [--] It's a very nice hotel but REALLY HARD to get to. Once you are there you will find a clean, pleasant, comfortable hotel about 30 minute drive from Hobart airport. The room was large with two single beds in it at a rate of about AU$110. Great view of Hobart across the water. more
