Called in for a quick pint of the local beer and stayed for lunch. What a lunch that was! Great lunchtime menu, friendly staff and excellent beer. Try the kangaroo burger it's great. This place has some history with some of the walls dating back to the 1800's. They also do rooms which appear to cater for back packers. But... More

The staff were really helpful and patient with all my questions. And there is free wifi. Once you use up your bites, you just grab a new login. The hostel is located in an old building and has its own flair. They made sure to put little decorations here and there to make it look stylish. It is still not... More

Great location , however this place is overpriced from start to finish , Tiny rooms and unhelpful staff through to overpriced beer at $11 a pint in a noisy echo filled bar where you can't hear yourself think , we ventured out into the lane ( freezing ) only one heater and you couldn't breathe from the hordes of cigarette... Central location. Good for a drink and a meal but no, no for staying overnight. Very loud music and noise till midnight. The shower makes very loud noise as well. After the noise from downstairs ended, the noise from the shower and the pipes kept was awake. Every time anyone opened or closed the taps there was the loudest guzzling... More

This lovely old Hobart CBD pub has its own 'Lane'. Very crowded and trendy on Friday night. We braved the crowd, found the dining room and were well looked after. Tempting menu, big serves, fast service , but very much PUB GRUB . Extensive Parma repertoire.

Reviewing eatery only. Very nice food. Most of Hobart seems to be on the pricey side, but the portions here were good. No problems. Recommend highly. Cannot comment on accommodation area as we stayed eleswhere.

They say that cleanliness is next to godliness, well this place must be close to hell. I don't think the bathrooms have been cleaned this year, my bed was held together with cable ties. There is no covering on windows so you are woken be the sun, and there is an odour that permeates throughout.

Rooms are clean. Toilets and showers too. The receptionists were fine. Free internet, that's nice (I'm writing with it now!). Not far from the centre with the Salamanca market. We were 3 guys of 23 years old. It's 11pm and I don't hear any noise. We have already come here 5 days ago and we came back because we were... More

Stayed for 5 nights and didn't get a whole lot of sleep. Noisy up until midnight most nights, then from 6am the next day. Bed was more an outer spring than inner spring mattress, padding all but non-existent, not too comfortable. Light fixture hanging off wall in bathroom (exposed wires), disconnected smoke alarm, paper thin walls, and 3 am visit... More

Very basic hostel. I stayed in a large dorm room and there is no storage space except for under the beds. The wifi was free but inconsistent. The bathrooms weren't very clean but usable. Great location to the harbor so easy walk everywhere I needed to go.
