We stayed at Clydesdale Manor for 3 nights with friends on a recent trip to Hobart. This is an outstanding property in classic 1870's style rooms most tastefully decorated with modern bathroom ensuites, air con, heated bathroom floors, bar fridge, ironing board & iron, and wi-fi. Full breakfast cooked by Diana. Property is part of a group with about 5... More

Clydesdale Manor is a B&B in a recently renovated old mansion. The seven rooms are spacious, some bigger than others. All have modern ensuites, flat screen TVs and are tastefully furnished. Breakfast is served in a beautiful sunny room and adjacent is a comfortable sitting room with a fireplace, complementary port and chocolates in the evening. Breakfast was great with... More

On arrival at Clydesdale Manor there was no-one in. This was a little disconcerting until we had a phone call later in the afternoon to check that we had received the code via email to get into the property. Unfortunately, I had not read this bit of the email but once we had the code we were on our way.... More

Beautiful hotel close to Hobart city. Its like an old manor, rooms are beautiful, tall ceilings and great bathrooms. Breakfast is served each day (before 9:30 so no sleep in) and they are cooked for you as you arrive in the dining area. Its walking distance to the Wrest Point casino for a nice night out and also close to... More

good room, good location. I think it has recently been taken over though by a chain and doesn't have a personalised feel that other reviews mentioned. We let ourselves in with a coded keypad and it was only staffed in the morning for breakfast. reception literally empty all the time, and we stayed a week. the room was very clean... More

I booked the spa room for my boyfriend's 30th birthday last year and the owners, Wayne and Lynne, made our stay absolutely perfect. They were so helpful and attentive - when I told them it was my boyfriend's birthday they offered to organise a cake, which they left in the fridge in our room. The next morning they made us... More

Lovely building, rooms, garden. Located on Sandy Bay Rd, 5 mins by car to centre of Hobart. Quality rooms, and great breakfast, carefully selected by the kitchen staff, couldn't ask for more. Parking off site, super friendly with lot's of good tips - just ask. And, a quiet room with port, chocolates and a game of scrabble!! What more could... More

Excellent B'n'B, very clean and neat historic mansion, well appointed. The staff serve a wonderful breakfast, and are very welcoming & knowledgable. Even after an initial mixup with our rooms (another guest took wrong key, so we ended up swapping rooms), the staff dealt with the issue in a courteous and help way. We stayed 2 nights, which was a... More

Having enjoyed looking at various examples of Tasmania's heritage during our travels to Hobart, we were looking forward to spending three nights in this house. However, we were disappointed to discover that its decor doesn't reflect its Edwardian/Georgian exterior. Indeed, the decor is strangely eclectic. Our disappointment with this accommodation started before we saw the decor. We arrived at 4pm... More

Clydesdale Manor exudes a classical charm as soon as you enter the property and this is carried through to the rooms themselves. My wife and I had a very comfortable stay there and enjoyed the daily hot breakfasts. There isn't a choice, but that wasn't an issue for us as the offerings were interesting and differed daily. The room and... More
