Spent one night here on a recent business trip. I had low expectations of this place based on other reviews and only chose it because it was the closest hotel to where I was working. My expectations were met. It's not a terrible hotel but it's just generally a bit grungy and unloved. There are many better options in Hobart... More

We stayed for 3 nights, the place was clean and adequate. I was with an elderly lady and she had a single bed and I had the double both were warm and comfortable. The room clean up was not wonderful they basically threw the covers over on the bed, didnt refill the tea and coffee and the bathroom towels were... More

Right in the city so you can basically walk anywhere. Salamanca is a 15min walk away. Basic rooms but the price was good and it was all we needed. Breakfast downstairs was good and the waitress was lovely!

Was very disappointed, uncomfortable bed, very small room stained towels, ordered room service food was a good price & very nice, would not recommend a stay thow. Not sure what higher quality rooms offer but the standard queen I stayed in was very drab & old feeling & smelt old to, was quiet depressing having to stay in 4 2... More

Last time we stayed in this hotel many years ago everything about it was just plain tatty. Now I have to say it has been well renovated. Beds are comfortable and the showers fine. TV channels are reasonable. The location is excellent and could not be more central unless yo8u pay a bomb at somewhere like the Chancellor. The continental... More

My adult daughter and I had the need to stay overnight in Hobart to do some shopping.we found the hotel very centrally located with secure off street parking at no cost. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient so it was an easy move to our room. The weather was cold so the heat pump made a very comfortable... More

Stayed in room on 6th floor, don't expect much of a view.. Shower head was far too low, rather large step up into shower and once door was closed kept hitting my arms on door, shower head too close to the door. Power points not located near desk so phone etc went on floor. Bed side lamp globe needed to... More

We stayed in this Hotel for one night when visiting Tasmania. The one way streets made our first attempt at arriving at the hotel difficult but we eventually got there and the free parking was greatly appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and well laid out.

Had a look at other review and think that OK - so Hobart is very small and the hotels on the 'waterfront' aren't really that good. We think that most hotels in Hobart are dated (at least externally). In that context, this hotel was actually really good. It was centrally located, neat, clean and tidy. Had everything we needed.

This hotel has so much potential. Central location. Off street parking, however it is extremely tired and dated. After using the old, slow lift you walk through a hall that is reminiscent of a nursing home to your room. The room is a good size but still everything is so dated. The smell of staleness can be It is a... More
