John the owner, was very accommodating and helpful. You help yourself to a continental breakfast with a vast choice of food in the communal kitchen. Great location and close to everything downtown including Salamanca Markets. The B&B was originally built in 1909 and a must to stay in if you like historical buildings. The rooms lacked nothing and the bed... More

Although building well over 100 yrs old and has some quirky design features ie bathroom and verandah floor had a decent slope we were welcomed warmly. Very large room and verandah area, scrupiously clean and well fitted to the era, Forget sparkling chrome and bland, all the same fittings of the standard motel the rooms were comfortable and fine to... We stayed at the Edinburgh gallery B&B on our first night in Tasmania before heading off on a driving holiday. Our host John was extremely welcoming and friendly, providing us with a map of the local area, and offering suggestions for places to eat out. The free wifi is also a bonus. We stayed in room number 6, which is... More

I stayed here for 3 nights as an entrée to an 11 days tramping tour of Tasmania. John was an absolute delight to deal with, and this establishment does him justice. I stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom 2 floors up, as my bedroom was "below stairs" but I never had to queue. Endless access to drinks, breakfast... More

Wonderful accommodation, very central to everything. Host was very friendly and helpful. Rooms immaculately clean and just gorgeous. It was so lovely to stay in an older style property that has been maintained so beautifully, especially for our first night in Tasmania. Great introduction to the history of the area. Breakfast was ample and lovely. My 8 and 10 year... More

The three of us stayed here twice, as it is a nice and friendly place where you meet people from all over the world. The rooms are all different, each with its own ambiance. John, the owner has an ear for everything and is eager to make people feel welcome and at home. Free WiFi is included!

An amazing place to stay in Hobart; The place is decorated very classy and felt like coming home rather than staying in a B&B. The room was amazing, very comfy with a very clean interior and an even better bed! Despite having a room facing the normally rather busy main road, it was not noisy at all. The manager John... We had a two night stay, with the first night in the large room which was great. Nice bed, good shower, and generally nice room. We had to change rooms due to a booking mistaking..(on our part) and stayed in a twin room. The room had an odd smell maybe due from the foundation rocks from the building? I don't... More

Stayed here Saturday night and had such a positive experience. Our room was huge, decorated in the old style with a giant cost bed and feather pillows. There was a stocked kitchen where guests can help themselves at any time of the day. Good location, 10-15minute walk from Salamanca markets. Huge thumbs up. (John, the owner is super helpful too!)

We stayed one night in October. Room was clean and comfortable, maybe a bit dark. And cold. I had an issue with shower curtain(despite warning on wall in bathroom) and the floor was flooded. Had to use all the towels to wipe it up. We are not used to sleeping in the middle of the city and found the road... More
