We stayed for a night. The room was OK with a big attached bath. But the TV in the room was very small whose channels sometimes functions. The breakfast was bare minimum with limited choice. The only good part was that they had a car parking facility.

Visiting Tassie with our immediate family, 2 men 1 woman (they're no longer children) to celebrate a 75th birthday. Very welcoming, rooms all different and interesting with an eclectic collection of just about everything dotted around. Great communal kitchen, with fruit, cakes, biscs, tea and coffe always on tap. John a very accommodating host who politely said that he enjoyed... More

I struggled with this review and would say it's more of a four going to a three. So good points. It's just outside city centre, its very clean, the hosts are very nice, its a period house and decorated to complement. The so so are......was expecting breakfast to be a bit more, on a main road with single glazing is... More

We will definitely be returning! This is a gorgeous little bed and breakfast/budget accommodation. The owner John is welcoming and friendly and the building is well maintained. It is clean and well kept with lovely ornaments, vintage furniture and indoor plants. We appreciated the personal touches too - like the cookies, fruit and local honeys and jams. The rooms and... Old Bed & Breakfast, really homely, really old fashioned, beautiful house. Fast in room wifi, great service, great breakfast, onsite parking, good location only a short walk from marina areas. Well recommended!

I couldn't recommend this place any more highly. The owner was so welcoming and he goes above and beyond by offering wide range of breakfast choices including local honey, gluten free bread and soy milk. I cannot have dairy products and for me this is the first accommodation to ever provide extra options and at no cost. The BB is... More

The rooms were huge in general, and have a colonial feel. John was present in the house, and was helpful with our enquiries. The B&B was within walking distance to Salamanca Market and the Wharf. It is also within walking distance to the CBD and large supermarkets.

This is a great place. 5 minutes from the city centre and close enough to walk to the harbour, this is ideally located. The building has genuine character yet is clean and modern - John has done a wonderful job since taking over judging by early reviews (ignore those!) He is really helpful and a good local guide, with his... More

What a gem of a place! Very central to the heart of Hobart and the proprietor John, was most accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the kitchen is well stocked with everything one would want for breakfast. We arrived at 9.30am and ask if we can move in and John said that since the room was available,... More

We enjoyed two nights here and loved the communal breakfast table with fellow travellers and John the owner. Indeed, the breakfast room was open all day. Our room was very large and comfortable with tea making facilities and a fridge. We could walk into the centre of the city in 10 minutes and the wifi worked well.
