this place had invitation charm. loved the lawn chess and the little friendly hare that hopped past every day. Great staff and especially Tina who was a terrific host. It was comfortable, roomy, warm, neat and tidy. Great fruit loaf for breakfast. Walking distance to the harbour and the city centre. Bus stop right outside gate. Easy for car access... More

We loved our stay so much we came back again on the end of our trip. The house is gorgeous and enchanting. This is not your average B&B. Despite being a B&B it is extremely quiet and private and it is so easy to relax and feel at home here. We stayed in room 505 and 303. Both are spacious.... More

Such a lovely house, we almost didn't think it was the B&B we had booked. It's super easy to get to from the town center by car and provides plenty of parking space. Beautiful garden and exterior and equally attractive luxurious interior. We only stayed for one night, but all three of us got a lovely good night's rest before... More

A group of five stayed at Amberley House while attending a conference at Wrest Point. Gracious, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast with the most delicious breads for toasting. Tina was a charming host and all the staff ensured we had a pleasant stay. easy walk to Salamanca Market, Constitution Dock and central Gobart. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 days. We had a comfortable room at the front overlooking the bay. It's a bit far out of the centre unless you have a car but takes about 15 minutes to walk in. We liked the breakfast arrangements where you sit down with other guests around the large dining table so it gives you chance... More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here just recently and enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is very private, it has a key pad for entry and each room is private and very comfortable. You are left to your own whilst staying with tea & coffee avail 24 hours in the front dining room. They have a small information table under... More

The room was comfortable and clean, a little smaller than expected and got a little hot and stuffy if the window was closed. We were in a room at the front of the house on a busy road so was a little noisy with the window open, but pretty quiet when it was closed. The bed was comfortable, the building... More

We're just leaving our two night stay with Amberley House and we could not have been happier! Even though the house was fully booked, it felt private and secluded. The port and fudge on arrival was a decadent luxury and the rooms had the perfect heritage charm. The house was in a great location and made getting around Hobart very... More

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was good. We had a room upstairs at the front of the house that gets a bit hot (windows don't open), so if you're there in summer I'd recommend a room on the ground floor.

Our room was at the front on the top floor facing Sandy Bay Road. We thought we might hear too much traffic but that was not a problem. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and beautifully presented. This was someone's home its early days and it felt like home to us. The staff couldn't have been better. They were welcoming and... More
