I stayed at Narrara backpackers for 3 nights on a trip to Hobart to explore some of Tasmania. I was just looking for an affordable place to stay where I could have a quiet bed to myself. Narrara fit my needs perfectly, but that is not the primary reason that inspired me to write my first review ever on TripAdvisor.... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. It's my 1st time to live in backpacker. I stayed in a 3 dorms room. The room is really small and with a little bit wet. But the public area is lovely. Also the female shower room is very clean and bright. It's quiet and I had good sleep during my stay..

Friendly family run backpackers. Economical accommodation with clean bathrooms. Basic kitchen. Cheap excellent meals for $10 at hotel around the corner so no need to cook. Walk up the hill to Peace Park & Mt Knock Lofty Reserve for beautiful views over Hobart.

It is a little expensive, but it is not a bad place and also the staff was really kind. The owner took us in his car to the cbd gave us some directions. I wouldn't mind going again. Also if you want to walk it is not too far from the cbd, and they offer parking if you have a... More

Mo and co, cannot thank you enough for having an emergency room available, My teenagers and I decided to head from west to south east and landed in Hobart no accommodation booked and Hobart town completely booked out. I got a lil worried we would be stuck in the car :(. Rang Mo at like 10:30pm and he says "we... More

I spent one night here in a 4 bedroom dorm, which cost 30$/night. Before coming here I was staying at a great hostel & paying less per night than at Narrara. My only reason for coming here was that all other hostels in Hobart were COMPLETELY booked out. The owner of the hostel is very kind, I give him that... More

Mo and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where to go and helpful suggestions on what we could do. The hostel is not the biggest, but it is quite cosy. The communal area, the kitchen and toilets were clean, and so were the bedrooms. The showers had hot water, which was great. The... More

Hostel was very clean, kitchen always clean, plenty of utensils and space for food. Owners very pleasant and willing to help with tips about Hobart. Centrally located while at the same time out enough to be relatively quiet at night. Rooms fit for price. Stayed in private 2 bed room. Supplied bedding and towels and tea and instant coffee available.... More

From the outside the hostel appears to be very nice, however once you come in, it quickly looses its charm. the communal area is very cramped and small, not leaving a lot of space to socialise with other people. and the costumer service is TERRIBLE! my friend and I stayed in a double room, which for the price was nothing...
