It caught my eyes when I was booking the hotel on wotif.com, which indicated ''ONLY ONE LEFT'' so I booked it immediately. Before I got there, I just know the location but when I actually got there, I found it's amazing for enjoying a real life. I can't connect to the wifi in my room, but I found the tas-gov... More

Now to hotel is okay priced consider its colse to central city, port and has great historical buildings as well as great view on the streets. FOOD is great, you have to try the bar-food down stairs, good price for quality food, especially sea food plate. Bit noise until 10:30 as its above a bar. Good old style oz hotel~... More

I found it very frustrating to get to the end of a long day of travelling with my elderly father to get to a hotel where it was needed for him to ascend 3 flights of stairs. At this point in time we had no choice but to go with it. I understand now that I needed to take greater... More

After a massive stuff up by Wotif with our booking a day before we flew to Tassie, they managed to put us up in PoW Hotel (we appreciated the effort). This hotel is best known for its location, only 5 mins from Salamanca, Taste of Tasmania (when it's on), 15 mins to town center. Take your toiletries if you don't... More

Hotel accommodation was a bit dated in this place, however value for money was not too bad costing about two hundred dollars for adjoining rooms per night. The staff in general were always very helpful and the cleaning lady was great. The pub is really well located close to Salamanca and some nice restaurants including Pollen Room and the bakery... Excellent location, handy to so much of Hobart, easy to find and charming suburb. Somewhat dated but comfortable and all conveniences supplied. Thanks to Trish the maid who was more than helpful. Pricing is good value and the view from the window was terrific.

Of all the places we have been over the last week in Hobart this has had the worst food and service. Not inedible but at best average pub food and above average pub prices. There are so many better choices within stones throw of here, don't bother with this.

The best hotel we went to in beautiful Battery Point. Had several crisp beers during our stay. Staff very helpful, patrons all friendly, fantastic bar menu, affordable but small bottle shop. Outside tables in the sun, 2 separate bars, this is just a ripper joint.

Hi there, Thanks for dropping in! So glad you enjoyed it and loved that you felt welcomed. In my opinion, that's one of the Prince's best qualities. Hope you get another chance to come back and say hello. Best wishes, Megan More

This is really great value - Battery Point is the best place to stay in Hobart and this 1960's hotel is very reasonably priced clean and still has some interesting 60's details. The rooms are not very big but most have a view, the beds are comfortable and clean.

I guess there's a reason this place still has last minute rooms available on a busy weekend. But the POW has to make up its mind what sort of place it is.Suburban pub bar? No, a bit up from that. Battery Point dining? No, more suburban pub. Accommodation? Don't bother. Old, cold, tired and dirty. Battery Point accommodation with a... More

Dear Iratepirate, I'm sorry to hear the Prince did not suite you. Although, I was trying to avoid later disappointment by showing you the room first. We did have a booked out weekend with no requests for a quiet room and with our live band warning explicit online where you completed your booking, there's not much more we can do.... More
