Heaters in the room, very friendly staff, warm doona on bed and great big kitchen for those wanting to cook for themselves. I did get a bit lost finding the after hours entrance, but the building is a cool maze in itself!! Would certainly stay here again - thanks for the hospitality!

Very basic as you would expect of a backpackers, but friendly staff and great location in the center of town. The bathrooms and rooms where all clean with just the very basics required. I did not use the kitchen or social areas but they seemed OK.

Lovely old place like a rabbit warren of corridors and rooms. Very clean and rooms are warm with their own heater. Beds super comfy, perfect central location means easy walk to water, cafes, movies, everything. Great place. Would stay again.

I don't often bother writing reviews for hostels however I wanted to make the effort for this one as I was so impressed with it. The location was brilliant for getting around Hobart and the staff were really friendly and helpful during checkin. The best thing was how clean it all was! When I walked into the room it smelt... We booked a 3 bed private room in the hostel. Rooms were basic but beds were very comfortable. For the little time we spent in the hostel it was nice. Not a lot going on but friendly and clean. Very good location, walking distance to everything and staff were friendly. Only slight criticism was that when I went to rent... More

Thank you for everything !! We came there a first time, at the beginning of our trip and we came back for a few days before we left Hobart. I switched into Imperial from a very gross hotel, so the clean comfy bed was heaven. Their comforters were very nice to cuddle into. The rooms are bare but still nice. There was a bit of a older group of people there, and they did room me with a much older man, which I thought was weird. Maybe they could... More

I'd really recommend it. Only complaint is the lack of power plugs in the room: I stayed at the 8 people mixed dorm and only one bed had plugs on the wall and they were already in use. Had to charge my phone at the social room.

Hi, Thank you for your great review. We really appreciate our guests feedback. That was a good point about the lack of power points in the dorm and I have made a note about getting power extensions to all the dorm rooms. Kind regards Else Front Desk More

I don't have any real complaints about this Backpacker/Hotel, I do have some suggestions, but nothing that would stop me from staying here again. First off, let me say that the location is excellent, right in the middle of Hobart, and close to pretty much everything you could want it to be - the CBD, Salamanca, public transport service, the...
