Mercure looks old and tired on the outside but has been done up recently internally. Rooms are run of the mill fare. Internet in house us through Telstra. Front desk told me that it was capped at $27.50 per day for Mercure customers, but after 2 hours it kicked mr off and charged me $31! Telstra help line could not... more

We had a comfortable stay in a superior suite at the Mercure Hobart in March 2009. Our room was reasonably sized, clean, comfortable and had views over the city. I really enjoyed my stay here. The bathroom was modern, white and very clean. The bathtub looked new and wide so I could really soak inside. The showerhead was great too. After a long walk, it was really nice to have a hot soak/shower. The shower gel scented of apple, I liked it. But the shampoo was of low quality.... more
