We spent 3 nights in this delightful B&B in Hobart. Jeff met us on arrival and helped to carry our luggage in before showing us around this charming old world lodge. Each day he gave us great suggestions on what to do and the best way to get there. His suggestions for lunch on Bruny Island were much appreciated as... More

Just got back from 5 nights in Tasmania and stayed in the Lodge on our last night . Wish we'd spent more time there as although the other places we stayed were very good this was the best. On arrival Jeff made us feel very welcome and offered suggestions as to the best things to do. The room was excellent... More

Impeccable, well equipment rooms with its own bathroom. Wonderful living room with free tea, coffe. Excellent location. Nice gardens. In 15 minutes by walk you're in the harbour. Lots of restaurants close. Great breakfast in a dedicated diving room

What a wonderful, charming and relaxing B&B. From the moment we walked in, Jeff and Julie made us feel welcome. This place has a beautiful old world charm with attention to detail. The breakfast Buffet was fantastic and if you came in late at night there was coffee and tea facilities in the lounge area (even a jar of marshmallows)... More

We stayed here for one night. The host was so welcoming and very attentive. There were loads of lovely touches including a gorgeous sitting room ans garden which we could access. Location was great and the room was beautiful. Would love to visit again.

Care and attention to rooms and helpful advice was impeccable . Short 10 to 15 mins walk to Hobart Dock and centre of town. Loads of selection of restaurants, cafes and inviting pubs with food and music in close proximity up and down Elizabeth street out front. Rooms and continental breakfast very good plus comfortable lounge area to sit and... More

The lodge is perfectly situated for people traveling by car and nearby lots of restaurants. We stayed for three nights in a nice and clean room, with a rather small bathroom. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We got some tips on the way to Port Arthur and Mt Field NP. There was ample choice at the breakfast buffet.

This beautiful old, historic home in central Hobart has been lovingly maintained to preserve the elegance of a bygone era without the discomfort and fustiness sometimes associated with such properties. Jeff & Julie seem "to the manor born" in their careful attention to detail and good, old-fashioned hospitality, where every arrival is treated as an honoured guest. For example -... More

Fantastic is the best word that describes here.... Lovely welcome ... Great room and out standing breakfast.... One thing I would say is that it would have been nice to receive new toiletries every day apart from the first one.. Julie thank you for the talk and you made the right choice by leaving your record shop, good luck and... More

We were greeted by Jeff on arrival and he couldn't have been more helpful. The attention to detail at this B&B is exceptional - books, DVD's, port, free WiFi etc. Breakfast was an extensive continental menu - no cooked breakfast, but more than adequate with beautiful fresh fruit and selections of breads, juices. The room was very spacious and comfortable... More
