We enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth. Jeff welcomed us to his heritage B & B. The rooms were comfortable & the spa bath an added treat. We made use of the homely guest lounge with its complimentary port, books & older magazines (1960's). We didn't mind the 20 minute walk from the waterfront. We also... More

My Wife and I stayed At the Lodge on Elizabeth for the first three nights and the last two nights of our Tassie Holiday. The welcome we received from Jeff was nothing short of being welcomed by a friend. The whole place is very elegant with the period style furnishings. We stayed in two different rooms. On our first stay... More

A classic B&B with a host who went out of his way to be helpful. The port and sweets in the living room were a lovely touch in the evening that offered the opportunity to share experiences with other guests.

We recently spent a long weekend at The Lodge. If you like old, historic B and B's this is the place for you. The location is pretty good. A 5 minute walk north to many local restaurants and 15-20 minutes to the waterfront. Our room was nice and quaint. Breakfast was a good continental type breakfast. The service by Jeff... More

Close to both downtown and the many restaurants of North Hobart; about 15 minutes walk either way. The hosts are very helpful with activity planning. Both the bedroom and bathroom were big by B and B standards with lots of places to spread out all your stuff. There is a lounge area and places to sit in the garden so... More

Jeffrey and Jenny were the consummate hosts. Friendly, accommodating and a wealth of information. Their old Victorian lodge/inn has many large rooms with high ceilings and period furnishings. While there is no hot breakfast, there are more than enough choices to get you started for the day. The evening Port wine ritual brings many new people and new friends together.... More

This B&B was in a perfect location. Very close to the waterfront, restaurants and the casino. The host, Jeff, was gracious. The room was very pretty and the bathroom had a spa tub which was really nice. The room had a little bit of a musty smell, but not over-bearing, There was a lovely garden in the back. There were... The Lodge is a wonderful Heritage listed building only a short walk from the North Hobart restaurant district and only 15 minutes wall from the Hobart waterfront. The building itself is beautiful both inside and out with a lovely cottage garden in the rear. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The service was impeccable and very accommodating. Breakfast was... More

Before you open a B&B or if you have a failing B&B then you must come and stay here! The obvious expectations of great location, lovely large clean room and a comfortable place to stay were all ticked off... and then came the excellent customer service! I'm guessing when you run a B&B you deal with all sorts of personalities... More

As we were staying in the busy season (1st Jan), we couldn't book anywhere near the docks (despite booking back in Sept), so were a bit unsure of the location of The Lodge on Elizabeth, but it was a great location. It was only a 10 - 15 min walk down to the CBD and docks, but the real bonus... More
