Care and attention to rooms and helpful advice was impeccable . Short 10 to 15 mins walk to Hobart Dock and centre of town. Loads of selection of restaurants, cafes and inviting pubs with food and music in close proximity up and down Elizabeth street out front. Rooms and continental breakfast very good plus comfortable lounge area to sit and... More

The lodge is perfectly situated for people traveling by car and nearby lots of restaurants. We stayed for three nights in a nice and clean room, with a rather small bathroom. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We got some tips on the way to Port Arthur and Mt Field NP. There was ample choice at the breakfast buffet.

This beautiful old, historic home in central Hobart has been lovingly maintained to preserve the elegance of a bygone era without the discomfort and fustiness sometimes associated with such properties. Jeff & Julie seem "to the manor born" in their careful attention to detail and good, old-fashioned hospitality, where every arrival is treated as an honoured guest. For example -... More

Fantastic is the best word that describes here.... Lovely welcome ... Great room and out standing breakfast.... One thing I would say is that it would have been nice to receive new toiletries every day apart from the first one.. Julie thank you for the talk and you made the right choice by leaving your record shop, good luck and... More

We were greeted by Jeff on arrival and he couldn't have been more helpful. The attention to detail at this B&B is exceptional - books, DVD's, port, free WiFi etc. Breakfast was an extensive continental menu - no cooked breakfast, but more than adequate with beautiful fresh fruit and selections of breads, juices. The room was very spacious and comfortable... More

I booked the entire place out for my wedding on the weekend of the 18th of October. I did this pretty far in advance and despite how far out I booked, Jeff could not have been more helpful with this and not only this, but the entire wedding. The restaurant we were going to use in Swansea closed down but... More

Jeff and Julie went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. In keeping with the heritage of the house the rooms are classic and yet roomy and very clean. House keeping was at a high standard. Also the warm and toasty drawing room features albums with old newspaper clippings which provide loads of... More

We stayed at Lodge on Elizabeth for 5 nights. As we were arriving into Hobart on the last flight, we had pre-organised our transport to the Lodge, however I asked a few people and a taxi would cost about $60 one way or about $18 for the airport shuttle bus into town (one way). Our private transfer took about 30... More

Hosts Jeff and Julie are born to their role. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome and this feeling lasts your entire stay. It's the additional little things that make it so special. The guest lounge is available through the day for coffee & biscuits, and a glass of port in the evening. The continental breakfast... More

A perfect place which catered for all 3 generations of our family coming down to Tasmania for our daughter's wedding. Jeff and Julie were terrific friendly hosts and the breakfast was delicious. A big thank you from all our family. We will be sure to recommend you to everyone in Sydney
