Stayed at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel for 3 days. Staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is kind of run down. The rooms were old and smelled of mildew. The bed was not comfortable, and the room walls are super thin (can hear your neighbors). Positives: Good area, cheap room internet fee. more

If you need an apartment style accomodation in central Hobart, this could be a good choice. The 2br apartment was huge - a massive lounge/dining area that was only partially filled by the utilitarian furniture. Spent 5 nights in a one bed apartment, the rooms are spartan with a monotone decor, but reasonably spacious and very clean, with all the facilities you are likely to need. Restuarant a bit expensive, but there are a number of good quality restuarants nearby. more

I had to cancel the first night room on the day because of a flight cancellation but we didn't get charged for anything. One small glitch is the staff forgot to replace my room service order card and I had to get it from the counter. more

I love staying at the Woolstore whenever I'm in Hobart. There is free parking, it is close to town, 5-10minute walk and it is just across from the restaurants and woterfront precinct. I stumbled across the Old Woolstore when looking for cheap deals for a last minute weekend trip to Hobart. Looked good from a price and location point of view but I was really surprised at the value we got: from the on-line booking that was a piece of cake to the cleanliness, great room and facilities and very friendly staff.... more
