We stayed at Somerset on Salamanca twice in the last two years. The first time we had a studio room, facing the river, which was quite nice. However, this time we took the two bedroom "de-luxe" apartment for 6 nights, the price of which averaged at $216 per night [weekends are more expensive]. Our family, two adults and teenager, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Somerset. Located on the Elizabeth Street Pier it has great views of the harbour and is very central. I have stayed at Somerset numerous times and it is absolutely my favourite hotel in Hobart. The hotel is a converter pier warehouse and is modern, airy and an architectural triumph.
