If you smoke then this is the place for you, if you can not tolerate the constant smell of cigarette smoke wafting into your room then avoid this place like the plague. If you can sleep through the cigarette smoke then you may be woken by the conversations of the smokers and your neighbours going about there business in the... More

We loved staying here as this motel is close to all conveniences! I rate it 3 star but the value for money is 5-star. We stayed here for 6 days during the Hobart regatta and loved it. Room 5 is downstairs without a view but as we had mobility scooters we did without the view. If you want the view... More

Stayed here four nights during the Wooden Boat Festival. Booked early, last August, because of close proximilty to the centre. When we arrived, I was shocked. If Hobart was not overbooked for this period, I would move somewhere else straight away. The room (and apparently the whole ground fllow) has not been renovated since the day the motel was built... Stayed here for 3 nights with 4 people. Had large 2 bedroomed apartment, over two storeys. We felt place was adequate for our stay. Good location with easy walking into town. Quiet location. Although decor is a bit tired, rooms were good size. We used electric fan, which worked fine. Bathroom and kitchen ok. We were out most of time,... More

We really wanted to like this place. We booked early for the summer period and the reviews at the time were ( mostly) positive. It is walking distance to Battery point and Salamanca place, and the price was good compared to other one bedroom apartments in the area. There is a reason for that. To start the apartment was tired,... More

We booked a night at the Hotel on the phone months in advance. When we arrived on an extremely busy weekend there was no booking to be found. Because we had no proof in the form of a confirmation email or a booking.com reference we were told it was our fault and we would need to go elsewhere. The office... More

1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2014

We stayed 1 night in November 2014 and it was a disaster. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 3.30 & we sat in our car for 30 mins waiting for the room to be 'cleaned'. The room was overpriced and tacky. The bathroom had mold in the corners and around the toilet. The shower recess had lots... More

Stayed for 5 nights, unfortunately read reviews after booking. Would have cancelled however would have lost $125.00. Motel definitely not as advertised, tired, old and grubby. Mouldy shower, poor lighting, tatty curtains, dusty, I could go on however where do I stop. Do yourselves a favour and check out alternative accommodation.

Stayed 3 nights on the lower floor the place was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. it certainly wasn't while we were there. The bathroom was a disgrace broken tiles on the floor around the toilet and on the sink with no shelf to put your toiletries on. The electric blanket plug had only one... More
