Recently stayed here, using a room modified for wheelchair bound guests, such as myself. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was laid out very well and suited my needs perfectly. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and even though the hotel is now 40 years old, and perhaps could do with a little upgrade, there... More

The room was clean had a queen and single bed (there were 3 of us) and was approx $149 a night(we stayed 2 nights). The bed was extremely comfortable and had a pillowtop mattress and curtains made room really dark so we all slept in. Shower was fantastic and had great pressure. Downside was when you walk in we were... More

Hooray someone knows how to color co-ordinate these rooms may have been smaller but they were cheaper still a nice ground floor view would prefer to stay here rather than the towers complex you still get to use all the facilities

Spent one night in a downstairs room overlooking a little garden area - very nice and quiet, no noise from the car park. The room itself was very clean and the beds really comfortable. We got the room for Aus $109 which was very good value. We used the swimming pool and spa - in good condition and very quiet.... More

What a disappointment, from the moment we walked from the main tower to this separate area of Wrest Point I knew we had made a bad choice. This place is very tired. The rooms are small and although the bathrooms have had a facelift the rest of the room is how I imagine it would have been many years ago.....except... More

Pleasantly surprised by quality of room 421 in old part of hotel. Spotless room with comfy queen bed, two single beds and fridge; no noise despite being New Years Eve. Pleasant 30 min walk to Salamanca Place with one big hill. Clean bathroom with nice shower, good water pressure. Good use of sheer curtains to obscure view of retaining wall.... More

On the website it looked OK and the price looked OK............... but a word of advice, even though 'mountainside' room sounds enticing and the description reads well, these are tired old rooms that need a big renovation. Although the bathrooms have been renovated, the rest of the room is desperately in need of renovation. The TV is something that should... More

Wow, I stayed at Wrest Point (Mountain side) 10 years ago and things haven't changed. Dated furnishings, old style TVs, wear and tear on the walls. Especially loved the 80's style light fixtures around the mirror in the bathroom (NOT!). This is an embarrassment to the Federal Group and Tasmania. The only good thing was quick check in and out.

Have just checked into wrest point today. Had lunch at one of the restaurants and werent spoken to very nicely by anyone we came into contact with. Checked into our "mountain view" room which is a disgusting room with a view of the parking lot. The room is so outdated its probably older than i am. Beige walls, turd brown... More

What a huge disappointment. Small rooms and in need of a huge update. Pricing was outrageous - $360 per night. No redeeming features Mountainside meant that the hotel block was 100ft closer to the mountain - view of the parkade.
