We have stayed at Wrest Point HOtel for 3 nights. Our Executive Mountain View room has also a lovely view of the bay and the view was wonderful from the 12th floor. Tower accommodation is lovely, even that the rooms are still the same as years ago ( same decor, furniture, etc. ). Our room was very big and bright,... More

I stayed here work recently which included attending a cocktail party in one of the function rooms. The place really is looking a little dated, but other than that I just couldn't find fault with my stay. If I had to be really picky it would be that room service is a bit pricey and you're not really very close... More

I stayed here with family and it was a laugh. A cheap mystery deal off Wotif. My brother loved it. my dad loved it and for the price it was good value. but I can't help thinking why are these waterfront rooms in Austrailia's oldest Casino still have the decor from 1973? Maybe they have renovated rooms higher in the... More

Wrest Point is a bit tired as other reviews have noted. I stayed in the tower, 8th floor. My bed had the same sag others noted and all of the furnishings are very out of date. Late room service menu was the same as the downstairs sandwich shop. And the gym is pretty much out of the 80s as well.... More

Was disappointed that I was not checked in to the Room Type/Location I specifically booked through a Last Minute Site even though I was told I had been upgraded. The first of my 2 night stay Wrest Point appeared very quiet so I got the impression the section of the Accommodation I wanted to be in was made unavailable, which... More

Have stayed here a number of times. Always in the tower. Rooms comfortable clean, quiet and room service prompt. Several good restaurants in the same building. An easy drive into the CBD and historical district. Or if you are feeling energetic an interesting walk. Surcharge of 1.5% on credit card payments is annoying. No WiFi and Internet in room via... Room is bit dark and old lift. The staffs are very friendly. The view is amazing. Close to anywhere and heaps of food store near it. The only thing the building need to be renovated and make it looked fresh not kinda an old haunted hotel. Overall, it's pretty good place to stay with amazing view.

We stayed here as part of a group. Our room was on the Mountain Side of the hotel so not much of a view. This was compensated for by the views from the many bars and restaurants in he main hotel. The main business of the hotel was the casinos but this did not give us a problem. Food was... More

I first went to Wrest Point Casino 1 year after it opened (early 1970's) it was very very flash then. Just returned from there after seeing a cheap accomodation deal via Travel Zoo. The place is getting very dated and needs a bit of a lift. The main gambling room is very dull and isnt as bright as some poker... More
